coaches not playing someone because they don't like a kid or don't like his parents is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. They are paid to win and field the best team they can. How they like the kid's dad is in no way gonna affect his playing time.

Just curious, how many coaching changes and what schools are anticipating new coaches for the 2009 campaign? I know of Huntington, What about others like Southeastern & Unioto?

This is just a rumor I heard. BUT rumor is coach Bart is leaving LE and transferring to a SVC school to coach this year. And no we are not talking about him returning to Westfall.

Wing-T I have not put much credibility into it because I did hear it from a LE student about him leaving. and a Westfall student that he was going to coach a school in the SVC in 09'.

It could be really interesting to see if it does play out though.

Westfall is the reigning champion and the other SVC programs will have to focus on trying to knock them off. Coach Keller will do everything they can to hold on to the championship. Paint Valley (Hollon), Piketon (Gullion), and Zane Trace (Peters) have their sights on attempting to do so. Adena (Thomas) is always in the mix. Coach Thomas always has them ready to go, and has a decent talent base, year after year. Huntington (?), Southeastern (Wax), and Unioto (Detillion) have upcoming talent and all three honestly could surprise people. It genuinely should be an exciting year (as always) for SVC football. Good luck to all, and should all have a great OFF SEASON.

Maybe Derek Roback can come to Piketon instead of Caleb moving...This way piketon will have a running game with Tacket and an air game with Roback and Southworth...

with PIKETON bringing back southworth, miller, ervin, tackett's, varney's, adams, vanhoy, osburn, you have to pick this team with miller at Qb now and southworth/varney combo at wr's and tackett/ervin combo in the backfield and adams playing everthing possible i hope and with vanhoy, osburn, taylor tackett, big varney playing o-line pretty tough offense and bring them all back on defense helps piketon brings back 10-11 on defense

Who will Huntington beat? Unioto? Maybe Southeastern? 2 league wins will not get you 4th in the League.. sorry. They won't beat Adena, Piketon, Paint Valley, Westfall, or Zane Trace. New coach with little talent could mean a couple more rough years in the hills.

Roback going to Piketon to play with the talent they have would be a great move. That team with Roback as QB, Tackett's running the ball and Southworth catching would be like a well oiled machine.

Mack Dunn don't play offensive tackle and taylor tackett don't play offensive or deffensive tackle. And Jeremy Varney is going to huntington.

that was my opinion on where i think they should play but tay will most likely stay at TE but i do hope to see him at DT great size and speed will really help out our defensive line

ausa how can you say they have very little talent.. they have both the hettingers clint turner perkins and pain and mitchell.. so thats talent ther... but i can see them beating paint valley and zane trace unioto and south eastern westfall or piketon will take 1st in s.vs 2nd will be piketon or west fall depends who wins when they play adena will take 3rd so the rest is up for grabs..
