Is it really hard for teams in Southern Ohio to get a full schedule for the JV teams?
Re: How did the JV teams do last season?
How a team does as a JV team is not as important as the fact that the kids are getting experience.
JV records are not necessarily indicators of future varsity records.
Anyone can load up a JV team and win games.

West jv was undefeated with almost a full schedule. Freshman team was also undefeated, with about a half schedule. I don't know the exact number of games.
I know that the jv usually had the game in hand by the 4th quarter. Then the freshman would come in. Freshman team scored on every jv team but South Point. Niether team gave up many points.
This team was not loaded with varisty players either. Most of there varisity time came in the 4th when varisty team had game in hand.

I know that we did have some cancellations Portsmouth, Waverly, and Northwest. All teams that we beat the year before. We also picked up some games, East's jv team, and Miami Trace. I'm not a A.D. so I don't know what goes into the scheduling, but with Coach Triplett, I doubt we was trying to dodge Ironton.

Re: How did the JV teams do last season?
the main reason warren only played two JV games was that there were a few kids, mostly underclassmen, who were inelligible. a few didnt play at all, while 4 or 5 actually played and waited until midterms to get a chance to play. in the mean time, most of the non-varsity starters were freshmen, so therefore we just had a freshman team. a few of the eligible sophomores were allowed to play on the freshman team, though, so they didnt spend their whole time standing on the sidelines. the two JV games were against teams who didnt have a freshman team, so we took the freshman and added a few juniors to go along with the couple of eligible sophomores.

Do you think that anyone is going to go out of their way to help out Ironton's Coaching Staff? Especially someone that is the head coach at West and when he coached at Ironton Bob’s coaching staff walked away from him when he needed them to help him coach? They are getting what they deserve no respect and no help!
