I knew Alder would go down--Jackson should have been playing this game

couldnt stop the run off takle just like at the jackson game. Very poor play calling on some key plays kept us from putting points on board but its easy to second guess when you are in the stands. We had one pass interference no call on a big drive that kept us from converting. We also had shawnee held on a fourth down and got a very questionable pass interference call. That pass interference call broke alders back and it was over. Calls were definitely not in our favor but that is the game... not making any excuses.

Shawnee played a great game and they deserve to go on.

Noreply - no need to be an ass about it. Jackson got beat just like alder got beat. We got an extra week of play. You want to talk about football you need to look at your own team. Alder will reload and we will be in the playoffs again next year. Its been a good ride and our mindset that anything less than a state championship is a let down.

When a team loses 28-7, they don't deserve to advance and should not have won the game.

Yeah, I thought Shawnee kind of wore Alder down in the 4th quarter. Both teams made costly mistakes, but Shawnee was able to overcome them. Shawnee's defense was outstanding, shutting down the Alder running game. Their D-Line was big and physical, and their linebackers and secondary did a great job in pursuit of Potts.

My friends and I thought that the two pass interference plays (one called, one not called) both should have gone the other way. Those were definitely crucial calls against Alder.

Great season for the Pioneers. Hope Shawnee keeps winning.

And no one from Jackson thinks they did. The Ironmen made mistakes and Alder did not. Alder deserved to move on.

Ironman02- kind of makes me happy that an impartial observer sees those 2 calls the same way i did.

Another big thing that would have stopped shawnee's drive was the fumble that they didnt give us and ruled a first down for springfield. Channel 4 local news showed that and said it was a fumble that we didnt get...never seen them call out refs before on a news story. However, i never make excuses there were so many things over a 48 minute game that could have or should have happened. Its a total game and it has to be looked at it in its entirety.

we will be back and hope to see Jackson along the way next year. Logan we will see you at our house next year.

Wrestling season starts today.
