When Minford got smoked by Meigs I knew they were way down by their standards.

I thought West looked very solid on both sides of the ball. They established themselves defensively on Minford's first possession, established themselves offensively on their first possession...and never looked back.

Yeah West looked good. If that rain hadn't came, this one could have gotten real ugly.

5-5 in 2006. 3-7 in 2005. 4-6 in 2004. 3-7 in 2004. 5-5 2001. They had a good couple years, but it comes and goes
in cycles. Be down for a several years now.

Honestly I think that this game is a Blow out waiting to happen! On to Valley IMO. The Valley game will be a shootout!! But, I do think that Yates will have Pressure on him the entire night!! He will have flashbacks of his Sophomore year!!

I don't understand why some are totally discounting the Burg this year. I'm not drinking the kool-aid. It's spiked!! I'm a Valley guy but c'mon already. They are beating the same teams by the same margins as Valley and West. Their only loss was to Ironton, a game that Valley and West could lose too, if they played them. After round 1, it looks to be a 3 team race but stranger things have happened. West, Valley and the Burg are the front-runners at this point.

Burg is well coached and they will compete. But the film that I've seen of them, West will dominate them in the trenches. Shears is good. He isn't good enough to beat this team.

burg just doesnt have enough horses for vally and west sorry but thats the truth, well coached and they are getting the most out of what they have just not enough guns. its a 2 team race with burg ahead at the 3 spot rest bringing up the rear.

Minford played really bad up front tonight, West played good. Cant see Minford doing much more than benching several kids and going with younger kids who are going to be back next year, or will be better than the current starters next year.

Good win for West, they looked good. Good luck against Valley next week. Good to see Shaffer back on the sidelines....good for him!

Dont take a very few posts as the overall view Minford had of West coming into this game. Minford people knew West was gonna be good. We knew we had to play perfect football and alot of things had to come together to compete and win. It didnt, West played good and the game is over.
