THATS A DOUBLE EDGED SWORD THERE MANIAC, DANGED IF YOU DO , DANGED IF YOU DON'T. BUT COACH LUTZ HAS ALWAYS HAD A GOOD MIXTURE OF THAT. ONE THING IS PROBABLY FOR SURE, NO BLOW OUTS FROM HERE ON.
I agree it is play to long risk injuries.
But last weeks game and fumbles I think the running backs was trying to get that extra yard and the got stripped of the ball not saying that was an excuse for the fumbles they should have held on better but that is what I saw out of them.
And our line is huge and they will have to play better from now on but I think we seen this can be a very good team if the protect the ball.
And Ashland was a great test for us we lost fine move on but learn from it to the Tigers will be fine as long as we learn from the mistakes and I think they will.

I have already mentioned GAHS must make adjustments if Ironton finds a weak spot in our defense. The tigers won't care about being boring on offense, they'll do what they need to do to win.

On offense GAHS must not worry about being boring. We have went to a two tight end power running game when nothing else has worked. We have also put an extra lineman in the backfield to have an additional blocker. We should start with this offensive concept, if we get a couple of scores behind it will probably be too late to use it. Go blue.

The freshman game was not canceled. what was cancelled was the jv game that supposed to be at gallia academy. the freshmen game that had a lot of jv players play in it. went on as scheduled tonight. Ironton dominated the 1st half. final score was ironton 26 gallia academy 20. the blue devils dominated the end of 3rd quarter and 4th quarter. had 2 possessions late in game but could do nothing with them. the young blue devils showed a lot of heart they could of packed it in early and it get ugly. but they hung in there and made a game of it.

Irontons line was doing something right, we had 310 yards of Offense against Ashland. We marched down the field several times and just turned the ball over, plain and simple. If we can hang on to the ball this week we will be just fine.

YTB hope you and your bride get to feeling better soon. The only possible good thing that could come of you and mama bait being sick is you won't have to make that long trip to see the tigers go down......My prayers will be that you are ready and able to see some football next Friday.

Hope you and your wife recover Tiger. GAHS-4-Ever won't be there tonight either. He's been ill since the end of softball season. Understand he now has a walker, wheel chair etc., through the Huntinton VA.

Looks like tonight's pigpen (Memorial Field) will be sloppy. Sure wish we could get our new field ready in couple of years.

I have been hampered this week with a viris. Hope I can get along alright tonight.

Sorry you can't make the game Tiger. Your family should always come first & I completely understand your reasoning... Have you considered rescinding my 15 yd penalty???? LOL...
WPYG FM usually streams the game over the net.. Will the game be broadcast on one of your local stations?

With the weather being what it is, we old timers will have to stay home or deal with it the best we can.
gahs4ever, your tiger bait and Jottings, wishing you all better health in the near future.

Last week vs Ashland,Ironton dominated the stats turned the ball over 5 times 2 times in the red zone, don't expect them to be as bad as folks are predicting.

HMMMM.... Final stats are in.... total net yards=ASH-382....IT-295, Its hard to say that ironton dominated the line of scrimmage.... LOL
Thank you I have been saying that all weekend. Our backs took a beating and were swarmed everytime they hit a hole. We did not dominate the line of scrimmage.

Just announced on Radio next year is last game for these two teams to play Gallia picked up Fairland.
Gallia AD said GAllia wasn't competitive enough so went a different route.
Hate to see this series end just gotta wonder they used to play Coal Grove now picking up Fairland will they try to see if they can go to the OVC?
