Aren't you from Ironton? You should hope the Burg wins this so you get the computer points.

Congrats to the Burg on the win. The team need to thank their lucky stars they had Brandon Schankweiler on their side tonight since he scored all 5 of the Pirate TD's. Lots of work still be done on the defensive side of the ball.

Good win for the SOC II over the SEOAL. But if Burg doesnt drastically improve they are going to be in for a long haul when they hit the meat of the SOC II schedule.

As bad as I hate to agree with you, I believe you are right.

I really thought Ptown was gonna be tough this year. They had tons of talent. I saw them play Wilmington and wasnt impress with their speed or power. I thought this would be a good measuring stick for Burg. Shank is gonna beat alot of teams, but there are a few really good SOC II teams and COACHES than can slow Shank down and make the rest of the team beat them. I think that is what is going to expose Burg a little.

As always, good win for the SOC II.

I really feel bad for the Portsmouth players tonight. They played their butts off only to be negated by poor coaching.

Well since nobody wants to say anything about Portsmouth, I will step in and say Trojans played one heck of a game!! A complete turn around from last week! It was a close game and could have went either way. If they would have played the first half, like the played the second half I believe they would have came out with the win. Go Trojans!!!

portsmouth for the most part beat themselves, to many penalties. every time they moved the they would do something to get flag. but it was a good game. i'm glad the soc won.

It was said several post ago that the team with the most discipline would win. On the radio they mentioned how undisciplined Portsmouth was with at least 8 or 10 5 yard penalties on things like illegal procedure. Without those I think Portsmouth comes out on top.

Almost 500 yards of offense and 4 scores, ridiculous. Portsmouth came out of the redzone empty handed at least 4 times.

not to mention he was also a big part of their defense...

===========================================

Im never one to second guess coaching...not here anyway..in the stands its different
:mrgreen:

but....Myers hit Simpson a number of times for close to 100 yards and a T D , in the first half...second half...one attempt to him???

every time we got inside the red zone we hurt our self, like said above, we was inside the 20 4 times, and came away empty 4 times, we have a kicker that can kick from 35 to 40..two field goals out of 4..we have a tie game at the end of regulation....like I said, Im just a fan and was just venting a little 8)

congrats to Burg on the win..Portsmouth , way to play with pride and not lay down after last week..still a lot of football to play, and you can still turm it around

If Shank goes down, Burg is in BIG TIME TROUBLE!

I guess the same could go for Myers.
