Just viewing his other duties, I doubt he could leave that situation. I'm assuming he is compensated for them and would not be in line for that here.moonshine wrote:Coach Carter has been at Johnstown Monroe as head ccoach since 2004 and has a record of 66-25. At Johnstown he is the AD and dean of students. He lived in Nelsonville until the age of 12 then moved to Waterford and graduate from Waterford in 1982 and from Otterbein in 1987. The few that have said this coach would be good--do you think he has a chance coming here and if so why.
Right off I don't know much about him.
This is a brief overview of Mike Carter.

I agree I don't see him leaving an AD job just to be head coach somewhere else unless Janey plans on leaving sometime soon

I've heard this is probably Ron's last year. But then again, I've been hearing that since I was in school almost, LOL.

Actually Coach Carter has been at Johnstown Monroe as head coach since 2002 and has a record of 88-35 with a post season record of 7-6 in 11 seasons (just barely missing the playoffs on several occasions). At Johnstown his position was abolished as the AD and dean of students after he left a great job teaching OWE/PE in Westerville. He now teaches HS/MS PE in Johnstown. He lived in Nelsonville until the age of 12 then moved to Waterford and graduated from Waterford in 1982 and from Otterbein in 1987. He stated coaching at Westerville North then at Ohio Wesleyan and at DeSales and Head Coach at Johnstown since.

Re: Logan Football 2013
I have a name to throw out there, Paul Culver Jr. Son of legend Paul Culver Sr. at Sheridan. Has spent several years playing for his dad and then coming back to coach under his dad. It has been rumored by Sheridan faithful that he is putting feelers out looking for a head coaching position....outside the MVL (dad doesn't watch to coach against son).
Would he be a good fit for the Logan program? Comes from a smaller school, but has alot of experience in the option offense and 4-4 defense in both playing and coaching it. Makes good decisions as defensive coordinator and takes over in the second half calling offensive plays in most games.

Yep, I Knew he would probably retire soon. His sons will stay and keep the Culver name going, imo.

Currently there are no member of the football staff with head coaching experance which should be a requirerment for a school of Logan's size! The Supt and board must look outside of the system and recurit a proven winner!
