For those of you running down the decision for Wade not to play fb. You need to know the whole story. This kid has talent and is going to play elsewhere. He pitches all over this country and wins. He layed fb last year and broke his pitching hand. Why jeopardize the opportunity to play college bb just to satisfy people who have no stake in his future or his health. Wade and his family matter in the end, none of us do!!! Be glad for the kids who are playing and move on!!!!

I like Wade! He's a great all around athlete! But it's totally up to WADE on whatever he wants to play! I'm sure when he pitches a baseball, no batter could ever hit a line drive on him and the baseball hit his pitching hand and break it!?!?!? But in football he could get it broke in as little as blocking another player! So if Wade wants to just concentrate on baseball that's perfectly fine by me. Besides, Wade can help Da Burg win three state baseball championships in a row! As far as football goes, we have plenty of guys just as good as Wade ready to play football! So GO PIRATES!!!!

What fbnut is failing to say is... in 2001 and 2005 was SOC I Championships! Now, that makes a huge difference!fbnut wrote:No undefeated regular season since 1989, 6-13 in playoffs since 2000,No state semifinal appearance since 1998, and 5 soc titles in the last 13 hrs. That's not a couple down years, that's a mediocre southern Ohio football program this century.wobycat wrote:How many soc 2 regional. and state championships. does valley have? A couple of down years for the burg won't keep them down. poser.fbnut wrote:They will win 7-8 games, lose the 2-3 big games they will have and be a 1 and done playoff team, business as usual.

What in the world are you talking about? fbnut never mentioned Valley at all.

This is an interesting read. Besides Burg being picked as #3, it gives a little insight to some of the new teams in DV.
