Re: Enrollment Numbers
Honestly, if the club football schools in the SHAC got football sponsored by their school, they could start up a football league under the SHAC with 5 members primarily D6 other than Manchester (likely D7) and maybe Eastern Brown (possibly D5), which Manchester would be in. I'm okay with them joining SOC I for football only until that happens, but I feel like that won't happen. Oak Hill definitely needs to move up to SOC II, Northwest can stay in SOC I for now.Seabee_05 wrote:Oak Hill and Northwest should move to soc2 and Manchester added to the soc1 in football
Re: Enrollment Numbers
Once the numbers are confirmed (appeals can be submitted if a school thinks the numbers are wrong), the competitive balance numbers will be added in and divisions will be determined by the OHSAA. This is supposed to be final for fall sports by April 8th and will take effect this fall.Seabee_05 wrote:If the numbers are true when will this take affect for football...Help me understand all this please

no way burg jumps from D5 to D3IBTT wrote:I was told not too far back from an Ironton assistant coach that Ironton should be fine and not be having any change. That they should stay in Division 5. He also went on to say probably Burg would be the only team really affected by this change. They could go up as high as Divion 3.

IBTT, sorry brother but we will be D5 and yes chances are better then 50-50 we beat you twice a year for a while yet.
Burg is not jumping to D3 lol, that is about as funny as having 5 D1 players on your team last year, or was it 6 I have forgotten already

Re: Enrollment Numbers
Looking forward to this can't wait to see where all teams rank and how it plays out.
Re: Enrollment Numbers
i am really curious where meigs, fairland and alexander end up. off straight up enrollment they would all be d-4 with cut off at 200 and them at 204 and 205 respectively. every school will have probalby one or 2 kids added at competitve balance would not be shocked if cut off moves closer to 210. all these teams right on cutoff.
Re: Enrollment Numbers
Meigs has been d4 for like 4 years now. Be nice to drop down to d5 and get out of Region 16.svac83 wrote:i am really curious where meigs, fairland and alexander end up. off straight up enrollment they would all be d-4 with cut off at 200 and them at 204 and 205 respectively. every school will have probalby one or 2 kids added at competitve balance would not be shocked if cut off moves closer to 210. all these teams right on cutoff.

Re: Enrollment Numbers
Meigs was 1 short of D5. D5 ends at 209, which Fairland barely made. Was really hoping Meigs would've dropped down to D5.tvc_fan wrote:Meigs has been d4 for like 4 years now. Re: Enrollment Numbers
Wheelersburg still d5. Did not notice much change other then can't find Coldwater lol....and Johnstown Monroe is now d5 and they are Wheelersburg good...that could make a very good game. But I think Johnstown will be a less competitive team then Coldwater. Not taking anything away from Johnstown just Coldwater is boss...I am not sure they are not in d5 still....just couldn't find them.
Btw sorry Ironton got to deal with us burg ppl some more....d3 lol....maybe us Burgites sould be the sorry ones....??? Nah I love watching Burg beat Ironton 2times a yr.
