As I said on here prior to the week 10 game between Trimble and Fed Hock, if Trimble's week 10 match up is Beallsville, "don't expect much of a game". Call me Nostradamus

I was not surprised at the outcome of this game. As for the 2 point conversion with a trick play when it was 59-0, I'll quote the late Wayne Woodrow Hayes when he was asked why he went for a 2 pt conversion against Michigan.......

"Because I couldn't go for 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Congrats to the Tomcats. You should handle SCC next week, and I would expect that game to be played at Marietta. Maybe Zanesville, but I am guessing Marietta. Like it or not if you are a Caldwell fan, I see the Caldwell-Shadyside game being played at St. Clairsville. That is only about an hour from Caldwell, and you have the mall and all the restaurants to patronize, so that's not a bad deal.

What does beating Beallsville 61-0 have to do with standing a chance against Shadyside?
Read the post above. Saying shadyside score 35 at half and we better score more to stand a chance
Didn't see that post, but all it means to me is Trimble and Shadyside were much better than Beallsville, can't really judge if that means you'll have a chance against Shadyside.
I guess, get by SCC and find out...Shadyside will be waiting.

Agree, Slim Shady's matchup will be much easier than Trimble's, but I still expect Trimble to win by a comfortable margin next week. That said, I DON'T see a shut out next week for Trimble.

The 2 pt conversion was not called by the coaches, and the boys got ripped for calling an audible

Honestly, that is exactly what I was thinking after the play. Thanks for confirming such. Coach Faires is not one to pull such shenanigans, so I figured I'd throw that out there for some clarification. Thanks Enforcer, and congrats on the win!

The state seems to like Zanesville, so my guess is the game may be there. I'm not sure what Marietta Colleges schedule is, but D3 ends their regular season next Sat and may not be available.

Some of the coaches think it might be Meadowbrook

The best 2 teams Trimbles played were their scrimmage and week 2. As a TVC fan I want Trimble to win and win big, but I have a feeling they will either win last second or get upset.
Great call!

I don't have anything to add but this score was not unexpected. What I notice is the community support. Athens and the Cats have great teams, what I see as a difference between the teams is the community. It's easy to support your team when they are up and good. When Athens was in the down years you could see empty bleachers and no fan support. When the Cats are down it's still a packed stadium in Glouster with fans along the fence. It's easy to jump on the band wagon when you're winning, but true support is shown in the down years and Trimble has that all the time during the good and the bad years. Both teams will be down again at some point but one thing is for sure Trimble fans will be there no matter what, through thick and thin. My hat is off to you.

Unless things have changed drastically since the last time I was there, Meadowbrook should not even be a choice to host a game. Grossly inadequate seating, terrible parking (you've got to park a mile away from the field), poor access from the interstate, and a grass field. Unless they have put in turf and new seating, I don't see OHSAA ever using that site again. I was there for the Monroe Central/Crooksville game years ago and three times as many people had to stand, versus what could sit in the bleachers, for both teams. Those poor folks from Crooksville had the visitors side, and I don't think it seated more than 500 people.

Congrats to Trimble. Pretty rough going for Beallsville's roster of 20 as compared to maybe 50-55 for Trimble.
Hope to see Trimble play at Marietta next week vs. Steubenville Central, unless the OHSAA calls on Zanesville.
Will be looking forward to an ultimate clash with Shadyside in a few weeks.

Beallsville 12 personal foul penalties?

Ironman - I'm not sure if it was 12 or not, but there sure were a bunch of personal fouls called in the second half in particular. Beallsville didn't help their cause there, or with the six interceptions that the Blue Devils threw last night.

I told you people my boys up north said Beallsville was bad. I did not expect them to be as bad as they were though. Next game much the same.
