A good challenge for Ironton. Gutsy call to go for 2. Might be the biggest and strongest team Ironton faces all year. Despite the loss, Ironton can definitely learn a lot from a game like this.

Ironton hung with a JUCO sized team. They had to play 4 quarters, and that will be huge going into the playoffs. Outstanding Friday night contest. KUDOS!!

Congrats to North on a big win, big OL averaging 6-4, 294 Ironton won't see anything up front like that in DV. Ironton battled for sure I think that 2 point conversion play was there but the QB needed to make the decision much much faster he allowed the defender to react. Heck of a ball game and will only help down the line.

I can see why their only loss was to the defending 5A state champ in Pennsylvania

Went and watched the 2 point and the play was there to 24 but the window was small and pressure from the right side got the qb out of trying to pass it. Canada defended it super well.

I think coach P liked what he saw in game 6. He knows what they are capable of & did NOT WANT TO GO INTO A SLOBBER KNOCKER OT JUST FOR a “W” & risk injury for points & rankings that do not matter, the production coach & fans saw does.

Went and watched the 2 point and the play was there to 24 but the window was small and pressure from the right side got the qb out of trying to pass it. Canada defended it super well.

Yep it was there, he'll learn from it because when you play teams that are simply that good that's the window you have and you have to make the throw. Tough because I'm sure in practice he's wide open every time and he's waiting for that big window where he's standing there all alone. Great play call, just read it late but a really good teaching lesson going forward for sure.

Oh yeah it was the right call to go for 2 as Clarkson was bringing it in the trenches, not for sure what I was more impressed the size of the D2 college line or the backup QB coming in and throwing a dime for a 63 yard TD pass to take the lead on 3rd down.
