bad calls? so when chilli lost last year they got hammered too? that was total domination 2 years ago by th cavs...and ironton returned the favor last year.
im sure it was the refs who put you down by 40 at halftime, right? geesh!
I didn't say that it would have made a difference two years ago...but, I am sure you would like to see a game called fairly too...even if our team would have lost by 28...I would like the score to show 28...not 40 like it has in the past...I have seen bad officiating on purpose...usually at Belfry Kentucky...or Ashland Kentucky or Portsmouth...but didn't expect it to be at Chillicothe...considering it isn't really a rival to us...I have to say when we were completely out of the game...and the officiating was purposely terrible...that was when I think it is at it's worst...at least at ironton, when the game is out of control..I have never seen an official making calls like they have to win it for the home team...lol

Unfortunately as much as we would like to change the past we can't.....the only thing we can do is prepare for the future and just forget about what has happened previousy...If we don't then we will all end up on blood pressure medicine...LOL

LDF,
Ironton layed an egg last week??? Are you kidding??? The yoke is on you.
I am amazed at some of the stuff you post. You go on and on about Gallia beating jackson but you say ironton layed an egg. ironton was dominated by a much better team. Plain and simple Logan was by far the better team.

I update all SEOAL stats on www.seoalfootball.com each week. I don't have this week's stats updated, but will tomorrow.
I have stats for everyone up to date so far except Portsmouth (I can't find anyone to get me their stats). Also, I don't have Warren's stats from the Zanesville game yet.

I AM MR. SHOTSKY,
Come on, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT. You know, I have been just as guilty at times acting unbeneath my own character, and probably more than once, but that name you just identified with 2old is not civil. Calling him stupid is just not right.
Yes he is on here, and there is nothing you or I can do about it. His team did defeat your beloved Fighting Tigers, but that was last week. Don't take it personal, just ignore him if it gets under your skin.
I am looking forward to our game come Friday against your Ironton Fighting Tigers at the Hernnstein.
Good Luck

Very good post Army and much better than some people can do. No one owns certain threads. Some people on here are eat up with power, some are eat up with jealousy, some just have Chieftain Envy. it is what it is. If i were a Tiger fan i would be frustrated myself. The team can probably be better. Something is holding them back.

2old,
I have admitted at times, I have been brash and disrespectful on here. I realized it's just not worth it anymore. Especially over H.S. Football. My days are long over in that area, now it's up to my son who is in second grade and hopefully one day, will carry that tradition on. And if he decides not to play football, it's not going to be the end of the world. With that said, there is no sense of calling people names, cutting down their character, especially when this football thread has been very civil. Anyone can get on these threads. Sometimes it can get out of hand, but I did not see your reply of being disrespectful to the Gallia Poster when talking about last weeks game between your Chieftians and the Fighting Tigers. Maybe a different use of words concerning the egg on his face part, but you were not disrespectful. Just a zealous fan for your team.
I am totally surprised, it's stayed civil between these two SEOAL Teams. Two years ago, it got pretty wild between Chillicothe and the Ironton Posters. Speaking of Chillicothe, where are our CAV Fans
I look forward to Friday's game with Ironton, hopefully our fans will see a team like they watched at Portsmouth last week pulling off another victory and gaining more confidence. We all know Logan is the one to defeat. Hopefully, our CAVS can keep winning and pull off a surprise in week 10. And if we don't, it's not the end of the world. We still should be in the run for a possible playoff bid if we win the rest of our games and even have a chance if we do lose to Logan? We'll have to see. We first have to get by Ironton, Gallia Academy, Jackson, Warren before we get Logan or any playoff possibility dreams.
We will have to win Friday first.
I think what many of us on here forget is, that it's 15, 16, 17 and 18 year old kids out there on the field giving their best that they can. Some struggled to stay faithful and not quit. They suffered the heat in summer practices and leaned on each other through the good and the bad days. That's what H.S. Football is about. I think most of us remember back that far ourselves and get caught up with the past. And sometimes that can cause things to get out of hand on here. Remember each team has a squad who has given all they can. Some will lose and some will win Friday, but one thing they will take from H.S. Football that will carry with them in life, those attributes are character, honor and comitment.
Good Luck to all the kids this Friday who will be playing on all our SEOAL Teams

Army,
The Chilly game is very winnable. Irontin has resisted change and this should work to Chjilly's advantage. i can tell you this the team that gets out quick will win this game. Set the tone if you want to win.

2old,
From what I gathered from you, noreply66, Locos, Chieftian95, and other Chieftian posters, it sounds and looks like our fans may see our CAVS pass more in this game than any so far this season. Hopefully, that will be a good thing, and not a situation where we must pass to win, like the Zanesville game. I am hopeful that our defense keeps sticking like they have been during the past couple of games. Did I see you state something about the Tigers having two DE's that are big and fast?
I am sure Coach D and his staff will plan accordingly. Hopefully, our kids will pull off another win and drive the ball forward, for a successful SEOAL Season.

Re: WK 6 Ironton @ Chillicothe
This might be the best game of the entire SEOAL season.......two good teams battling for a considerable dose of computer points.......I haven't seen Ironton play yet, but Chillicothe is the most talented team that Portsmouth has played thus far.
Re: WK 6 Ironton @ Chillicothe
Trojan Dave,
I think this will be a serious gut check for our kids on the Chillicothe Cavalier Football Team. I hope both sides of the ball stay focused for our CAVS. I am really impressed with our speed we have and our newly found running game. The defense is playing really great football this year too.
Good luck to your Trojans this Friday down at Gallipolis.
Your QB is going to be an outstanding D1 recruit give or take 2 more years. How about that former Chillicothe Cavalier FB Player who is starting for the Trojans in your backfield this season?

I was not impressed with the DE. Another Logan poster was. They are ok. Not bad, just not up toChieftain level. If ironton tries to pound it out the Cavs have a real opportunity. The Cavs have seen lines as good as ironton because of the non conference schedule they play. ironton on the other hand will be challenged by any good team. The Tigers have not seen as many good teams as the Cavs. When they have seen a good team, the Tigers have lost. The game is there for the Cavs to take.

Hopefully for our CAVS

2old,
You can say that again, especially those huge farm kids on that Sheridan Team. WOW....they really play smash mouth FB in the MVL. They just drove us down the field in the 2nd half with ten yards and a cloud of dust. I will say, you are probably right about our non-league schedule.
Brookhaven had a large line that our CAVS played against. Big Walnut were much larger than us. I really don't know how we came back and defeated Big Walnut, except they were for the most part, young and in-experienced. Last years team lost a lot from the D3 Championship Team. I think those three games sparked something in our CAVS. Esecially, up at Zanesville, because the turn around 17 point comeback in the 4th quarter was unusal in comparison to last years CAV Team. The line started to bust holes open for our backs and provided outstanding block protection for Caleb to throw the ball. They were still hitting and blocking and the defense was stuffing and Zanesville was wearing down by the 4th quarter.

the ol geek fixed my computer again and I see he is still here but that is good......I like to hear what he is not impressed with..at least one Logan fan was impressed,..just ok is a compliment from him ......not up to Chieftain level is correct, no one has players up to the Chiefs level........I am sure the Cavs have seen lines better than Ironton, that is understandable and shouldn't even be questioned.......the Cavs non-conference schedule is superior to anyone in the SEOAL except for the Chiefs.......and the Tigers have been challenged by many good teams and that should be obvious by the DIV 5 school that thumped them the first game of the season...........and of course they lost, forgot to say that......so I guess the Tigers are wasting time headiing north Friday since the Cavs have a game that is theirs to take.............
