Thats cause Lamb knew if he wanted to compete for a state title he had to go to a team that actually had a shot at making the playoffs. Winning the OVC doesnt get you in the playoffs.

:122245 Whatever... maybe with a few more OVC players, Ironton could win state!!!

This is fun. Guys... take it easy... don't have a stroke. I can understand taking it so seriously if you're PLAYING THE GAME, but c'mon... I'm sure Coal Grove roots for Ironton when they're in the playoffs and granted, the Hornets haven't been in as much, but I'm sure MOST Tiger fans root for the Hornets then too. There is no sense in bashing a league or calling it "just historical fact" or whatever you want to drag up. Can't we all just get along?

I don't root against Ironton because I know that the few arrogant posters on here who like to bash other teams don't represent I town as a whole....(They just have raging levels of testosterone  ) Many kids from area schools are good friends with one another and to not root for them is childish, inmho.

Compete for a state title...please...they won't make it past first round. Gone are the deep runs that the almighty tiggers were use to back in the day.

To compete for the state you gotta be in the playoffs. Now according to Joe Eitels site Ironton has clinched a playoff spot. So Ironton now has a 1 in 32 shot of winning a state title. To steal a phrase if you aint in it you cant win it.

Ironton has a lot better chance of winning the big trophy this year than for some time...they showed the other night that they have weapons...if they can hold onto the ball...it's hard to tell where they can go...they need to tighten up on their pass d...and it could be a long run this year
