I agree, but did you expect anything else. I'm just surprised burg isn't traveling a hundred miles also

Best of Luck to West....and from an unbiased person on this thread....you certainly go screwed.

But no excuses....just win!

On another possible slap to West...what if West and Burg both win and play week #13 in Jackson...after Burg played there in Week #12?

It would've made far more sense for Burg to travel a tad further than West...but that's neither here not there now.

I'm hoping for Athens (if that were to happen) because OU doesn't have a game.

Good luck to West. I have to agree on the hose job. You would honestly have to think that this game could've been placed a whole lot better, but our Tigers have been on the wrong end of these decisions before.

I saw Logan stadium online today. It is awesome! It will be a great place to play as I have a West player who will be on the field giving it all he's got. Can hardly wait and don't mind the drive. It isn't really that fair when you want to see a great game. Oh, and thanks for having us!!

No big deal...just something to fire our boys up. You boys need to play harder than you've played all season. That's a long bus ride home if it happens to be the last!

LET'S GOOOOO WEEEEEESSST!!!

From what I have seen this year, it won't be the last ride home!! Of course, what do I know? I'm just a Mom. (ha, ha) But they have my vote!!!

What a hose job by the OHSAA. I watched west and burg play and look forward to watching a rematch. On a side note I'd like to see West get the win as a little payback for the arse kickin I was part of receiving at the hands of ready when I was a JR. at Coal Grove back in the day.

[quote="West_Sider"]Well Madd Dog, you better hope we can. Because if we can't your Wheelersburg team sure isnt going to. The Burg knows that if we both win at least you guys have a shot at playing with the team in the Regional Finals.

Go West, I want that 2nd chance on a nuetral field. but I dont think it will happen. West is too much 1 dimensional and Ready will win. If Murphy was still in the game, it would give the Ready defense another read to take care of. With that gone, it may be a Knight game. One thing for sure, West defense will be ready for Ready. Good luck to West.

First off, does anyone look at the weather....? It's calling for rain Saturday in Logan. I also seen the Ready Roster.....they are really small.......so they are probably fast. the O-Line and D-Line look big, but are probably slow with a couple of them over 300lbs. I mean look Portsmouth Had two OL/DL that big and are going to D-1 colleges and West put a good spanken on them. West has Size and Speed!! So, I really don't think that West has to much to be worried about here? Just because they was in the State Semi's last year don't mean much. Teams change from year to year.....and I think it being on Turf we got the edge.... and it will be wet so that will pretty much slow down any passing game. So if it's Run vs Run...West will Win! Also, the thing that people are forgetting the most is that West has a great coach now!! He is battle tested and has been here many times before....he knows how to win and win alot! I see other school posters giving him alot of credit on these sites but not too much from the West fans....I think he is the reason we have got this far....he has turned these kids around and I don't doubt them going all the way!!! Any how Ready fans... don't think that West won't throw on you......Just because they haven't showed too much yet, don't think they won't do it! Coach has set it up all year and let teams use 7-8 in the box. Thing is even with that many in the box nobody has stoped the Run yet?? I wouldn't pass neither if I could Run that well....hell it slows down the game if you pass alot! Anyhow, I have a feeling you will see a healthy dose of the Both this week.....but who knows? My early prediction is (With Rain) West 28 Bishop Ready 7

Here is director of OHSAA's email address so if you feel so obliged you can send him an email with your displeasure for the way teams from the "South" are treated by his organization.

plenty of rain on the way...wish the field wasnt turf...it could be just like 2002 when we beat portsmouth in the mud bowl

Now that game was sweet!

I, personally, find it is harder to hold onto the ball when the ball is played on wet turf. I dont know what it is... it just is. Course that logic isnt very good but anyways GO WEST represent the SOC and the area as a whole WELL!!

West can definately beat Ready. This is a good Ready team, but not as strong as last year's squad. Here's a little on what they looked like against J'town.

READY :
- lines ARE small, but quick hands and feet and are pretty solid fundamentally
- "back 7" are very fast and fly to the ball (watch for the LB's, they're very solid).
- very solid running back

*** Johnstown basically handed ready the game. 1st offensive series for J'town - INT. returned to the 1 yard line. It was 14 - 0 before Johnstown's offense ran a full series of downs.

- ran quite a few screen plays. Watch for the slip screens to the back on a last second pitch/ suffle type pass.

That shows what they think or our area. Just like when West was in the finals the announcers dogged them and were completely biased for Kenton. Southern Ohio anything, is considered foreign to Columbus and Cleveland!
