The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
I doubt.....in fact about guarantee the board member in the paper is not conducting an interview for a sports coach....if there are members involved it is at least the 2 that support and attend EVERYTHING.
I can't fathom Howard, Kight and Hemsley not being a part of the interviews.
That being said...I know nothing.

Don't understand the reasoning of not creating a new position for a Varsity Football Coach. The community paid for a 4 million dollar football stadium and if you fill it up on Friday nights it would pay for that position. "Remember you get what you pay for" .

just got off phone....... if what i hearing is true ji is looking hard at some guy from ky that has ohio ties...
Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
Do you know his name, and if so, would you be ok with posting it on here?
I'd really like to know who some of the candidates are. I think the only candidate that I'm fairly sure has applied is the offensive coordinator from South Charleston, Donnie Mays. That leaves 17 more that I have no clue about.

No problem at all. I just thought it was funny because basically everything I hear about this turns out to not be true. I figured that was the case again. I'm glad that we finally have some concrete information though, thanks to Phil Howard. Do you have any idea where the guy coaches in Kentucky?

It wouldn't suprise me if they stay within and hire one of the assistants.

Apollo Creed:
There are some quality coaches in that group. Have any of them expressed interest in being the next head coach?

Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
Thanks for the information. Sounds like a solid candidate.
Re: The Official "Who's Next at Jackson Thread"
West Virginia high school football IMO is bush league compared to even southeastern Ohio. To me winning a state title in West Virginia is like making it to the first round in Ohio. Just because this guy did well in West Virginia doesn't mean he'll do well here. I'm not meaning to hate on this guy I'm just saying not to be overly impressed with him. The talent level overall in Ohio is just so much better. Case in point Belpre a few years back went into Williamstown WV. and beat them when they were ranked 1 in the state in their division. Also, look how Ironton usually dominates teams form WV and Kentucky. To me the d-6 state champs in Ohio would beat any division state champ from WV.

There are 2 on that staff that I think would make excellent head coaches.
