Absolutely...they are the hands down favorite to win the region. Back in 2005, Ready was #1 in the region, and Valley put it on them to the tune of 28-6 to advance to the regional final. I think there are a few teams in the region that can give them a run.

Possibly a few others, but no doubt they are the favorite.

I got to see them in the scrimmage against Burg and was impressed. I know it was only a scrimmage, but the had nice size, speed and athleticism throughout. Defiantly going to be a tall task to knock them off.

I understand that, I was simply stating that the scenario has been there where Ready was VERY, VERY good, and they were a huge favorite to win the Region, and didnt. I just referenced that it has happened before, and could happen again. But they are absolutely the favorite, no doubt about it.

Martins Ferry who is always good.

The 4-5 game could be brutal, so everyone wants to stay away from that. I think that Fairland, West, and Portsmouth could very well be the final 3 rounding out this region. As bad as the lower teams are, I think West can make it in at 5-5 or better. I expect Burg to get a home first round game, but I also expect that game to be a rematch.

As far as this one, if West can force Valley to pass a little more than they want, I honestly see West making this a close game.

BUT I JUST DID SOME LOOKING GOING BACK TO 2005 AND I STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT HOW THE BURG STAYS AT D-5 FOR ALL THESE YEARS AND WEST HISTORICALLY HAS ALWAYS BEEN D-4 UNTIL THIS YEAR AND VALLEY HAS BEEN D-5 AND NOW ARE D-6, I WILL GIVE VALLEY PROPS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY TEAM TO BE A GAME AWAY FROM THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE WEST IN 02. THEY HAVE MADE THE PLAYOFFS 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 9OR10YRS AND THE BURG HAS ONLY MISSED THE PLAYOFFS ONCE IN THAT SAME TIME FRAME, NOT PILING ON ANYBODY JUST WHEN YOU GO TO THE PAST AND LOOK REALLY HARD AT IT ALOT OF INVARIABLES ARE THEIR. I know myself, Crabs Bro, and I believe Jesco have ALL stated in this thread that West CAN win the football game, there is no doubt that they can.

But, we have also said Valley is a completely different team than Minford...which is also true.

Wow.....this thread is hilarious. Thats what conference football and rivalries are all about. Cant wait until friday night. It will be a packed house out at the "prison". Should be a great atmosphere. Maybe this will wake some of these Valley fans up and make them actually cheer for this game. And the team will feed off the crowds enthusiasm.

One thing for sure. Win lose or draw lets get both teams out of there without the last quarter the refs play a big role. If west loses and the game is played by the kids and not the refs, then more power to valley for the win.
