Kids aren’t leaving. We have a coach. Not the Marshall OC that people are saying. It’s someone else that spent time at Marshall. Kids are ready to play. They’re in the weight room. Ready to prove all of SEO wrong. Underdog mentality is dangerous. We’ll have the best qb in the conference and a pretty good defense coming back. Keep underestimating us. Kids out here on Mulga Road are ready to play.

I’m hearing we might all be in for a big hire for Wellston… interest from both parties and the individual is meeting with the school board ASAP.. stay tuned.

Re: Wellston Football
At what point do teams on schedule with them start looking for other games? I’d sure hate to get to season and ends up having an open date because they don’t have season because they don’t got coach.
Re: Wellston Football
The school board met this morning at 8 am to officially hire a coach. I haven’t heard an announcement yet.
Re: Wellston Football
This is a little ridiculous. The will have a coach. All of you that are obsessed with Wellston Football can sleep easy tonight. It will be all right.

Re: Wellston Football
Wellston has had at least 38 Head Coaches in 114 years of football.
Jackson has had at least 37.
Oak Hill has had at least 38.
Wellston is on par for the course with the rest of the county.

Wellston school board will be having a special board meeting this Saturday at 8am, presumably to hire a football coach.

I mean is anyone surprised? This is the same school system that botched an opportunity for ESPN to make their football complex great for SE Ohio, but the locals fought change, and now they have one of the worst facilities in the entire area, with a little paint job on their undersized bleachers. Yep, lipstick on a pig, when ESPN was willing to make it much better on their dime, what a waste. Wellston and head scratching decisions go hand in hand.
