Black your just jealous your boy couldnt handle it at Ironton. Coach Lutz finally got that mess straightened out and this year it will be your normal diciplined and conditioned Ironton team.

that coach that couldn't handle it beat burg at burg and made the playoffs. He also barely lost to Westfall at their place whom last year with the same bunch clobbered everyone on their way to a Regional title. Lutz last year, not so good.

Anyway back to the game enough of the interruptions. This is always a great game to start the season off with. If this was on a saturday night attendance records would be broken.

i see ironton winning this one by 2 TDs. backfield looks to be awesome this year not to mention there QB and recievers. may be a double threat for i-town this year.

Yeah, and I guess you call a balanced offense, 9 running plays out of every 10 plays. lol

I hope all of the teams prepare for the Tigers expecting an all run offense this season, if so there will be alot of teams get burned down field this season.
Re: IRONTON/WHEELERSBURG. WEEK 1.
that would be great if i-town goes to the air this year. Then the advantage would be toward the burg. Lutz could not be comfortable throwing the ball. i just wont believe it until i see it.
Re: IRONTON/WHEELERSBURG. WEEK 1.
i got see the burg practice last week-- in the morning. looks like they have good size all around. the bigest thing was their speed. couldnt see who was exactly running the ball but they really hit the whole hard and fast. i believe Craigmiles ran a few outside and wow------ you talk about fast. he looked like he was shot out of a cannon. iam excited to see the scrimmage saturday.

Apparently, a lot of people are not students of "Bob ball". Ironton will pass if Coach Lutz feels like the right personnel are there; and right now it looks like they will be.OHbuckeye1 wrote:I hope all of the teams prepare for the Tigers expecting an all run offense this season, if so there will be alot of teams get burned down field this season.

I too have seen Burg practice and they are looking solid and focused. A very disciplined group so far. Plenty of speed all around and good OL size. It appears there have been a few changes made to some positions. Defense has had the most changes. Not many changes on the DL though, as expected. Defense is looking pretty good up to this point.
Craigmiles can fly. 4.5 speed, 185-190 and strong. Schankwiler will be a force as well with 4.6 speed, 190 and strong as well. Both could have big seasons for Burg. Burg has the best looking backfield they've had in awhile as far as pure RB's go.
The key to this game as always is turnovers and who controls the LOS. Burg must provide solid upfront blocking at the OL to allow Burgs RB speed to be a factor. If they can't get started it could be a long night.

These were actual times recorded by the coaching staff during there pre-season strength and conditioning testing. I believe there were 7 or 8 players running 4.7 or better. Craigmiles and Schankwiler the fastest and both were on the 4x100 (or 4x200 I can't remember) relay state qualifying track team (placed 6th I believe) and set the new school record this season. Craigmiles had also ran a 11.2 in the 100m. Both are ligit fast. So to answer your question, I guess their downhill/father time would be somewhere at 4.2 or 4.3.
Oh and by the way... stop yelling at me.
