Atown your a good young man,you have my respect.Its good to see you root for your team.Im old enough to know that Alex has never beat NY and you get customed to the talk.98% is for fun.It will happen one day and then WE can talk the talk.Life is to short to get caught up in the smack.NY is NY, until we beat them,you cant keep them quiet.So my friend just have some fun with them,I do!

for the most part i would say that it is just a joke. but it is no different what has been said than what alexanderspartan was said. there has been many attacks on alexander. same as him attacking boston. i joined this site for the same reason that everyone else did. to have fun. but constantly reading about how much better NY is than alex starts to get under your skin. as far as the ranked in the state nonsense, if by chance you do happen to make playoffs you will lose the first round just like you have every other year.

i eant to comment on this before but forgot. this whole thing about revenge is about the player who was not allowed to play due to grades correct? if so i just dont understand how you can hold the coaching staff at alexander responsible for pointing it out. if our coaching staff knew how is it possible that yours didnt? this is all what i understand if i have made a mistake please correct me.

You know, cruel talk is one thing, but some of the stuff on the last 2 pages has been only in fun. I've been sitting here reading, and laughing my butt off! Hey I agree with the poster who says Nelsonville stinks. Just drive along 33 any day, right where the sewer plant is, and you can catch a nice whiff!!! lol! while i do hesitate to comment on the ineligibile player for the simple fact that i do not know a whole lot about the situation, and i am not one to spread slander by any means. i cant help but feel that the transfer of the papers that said that he could not play was out of the coaches hands, for the simple fact that only on coach (arno) really has any affiliation with the school. i dont know a whole lot about the system but i would think that it would be the administrations responsiblity to make the transfer, not the football teams coaching staff. i too know the kid but that really has nothing to do with the issue at hand. (again if i am mistaken please correct me)

You know I like how some Alexander fans get on here and try to say how nasty NY fans are and they don’t do that and they are so much better than that. Well I say WRONG I spent all my years at ALEX and graduated as a mighty SPARTAN but I remember talking the same crap and talking the same trash that we were going to be the first ALEX team to beat NY and that never happened. Now I have been a BUCKEYE and my children are BUCKEYE’S and it is fun to talk the trash from this side. It’s all in fun and we are all just fans, all my family is still in the Albany and Shade area and I still stay in contact. All I can say if you can’t take the good fun ribbing stay off and don’t log on and read it. I still have four little sisters that attend Alex and we have a lot of fun come football and basketball time giving each other a hard time.

May both teams have an injury free night and my Alex win out after NY beats them.

if alexander comes out to play like they did against athens, ny reserves will be out there by half time. i do not think that ny will look past alexander cause this is their "fun" game. i hope alexander will come out prepared and will have their heads on straight and make it a game to watch.

AGREED! Not sure what happened to the spartans last night but they looked awful....I couldn't even stay to watch the end of the game. I too, hope the Spartans are more prepared for NY but I have a feeling I will be leaving early from that game as well I would like to wish both teams a good game and injury free game as well. I will still cheer for my spartans, but think this one will go to the buckeyes

I am happy they got rid of alexanderspartan because he was very nasty with his post. In todays world, fuel to the fire is not a good thing. There will come a day when fueling is going to lead to a death because of the rivalry between the two teams and the hatred that the fuel brings. I hope that these kids have good heads on their shoulders and don't come out to try to hurt anyone but each team tries to win the game. I look for there to be many hurt players after this game just because of this anger that is being shown by(suppose to be) adults...Be safe young men, play clean, play with heart and good sportsmanship...someone will win and someone will lose, let just do it with pride and not hatred..

Fact of the matter is that football is a violent sport and the other fact is the teams that are more physical tend to have better seasons. All of my coaches from the past would preach on physically beating up the other team to win. They lift, condition and train to be in better physical shape to do just that. I have seen my share of serious injuries in football but its known that this may happen each time they enter the field of play. My advice is if you think you are going to be very good in other sports such as basketball, This may not be the week you want to suit up...

I am not saying that NY will just play to hurt someone..I know the kids are told not to read these but I know they do.. Both teams are reading these or hearing about what is being said.I remember someone saying they would post some of the stuff on the walls to make things more interesting.(not sure who said it but I know it was said) Knock me all you want... Maybe it is in fun..but after so much bashing it gets really, really old.. I said nothing about the size of the schools... that was someone else. Yep, I left the other night before the game was over because it was frustrating to watch a team that I know can play better then they did that night. We also wanted to beat the crowd. I do support the kids on the team. I might not stay until the game is over but I would have to say that there are many times that the group I sit with(most of us don't have a child on the field) cheer more for the kids during the game then most anyone in the stand... I realize that football is a physical game and they do hit hard, I just would hate to see a game full of injuries. Play hard but don't play nasty.. There is a difference...Good game to both teams.
