I would say the talent is down in the SEOAL this year

Marietta lost a lot
Jackson lost a lot of O
Chillicothe lost a lot
Zanesville is gone
Portsmouth lost a lot but a lot of young talent
Ironton looks to be stronger
Warren is stronger
Gallipolis looks to be better
Logan is still stronge

TO BE THE MAN YOUVE GOT TO BEAT THE MAN.
obviously logan is the man.5 time champs in the seoal.but kings are known to be dethroned and this year logan gets the ax. they will have a good season, no doubt about it.i say it will come down to logan and chilli and chilli plays the role of spoiler.chilli has a stengy defence that will slow down the logan o. i know we dont have knights at the qb.shay netter will take his place.hes gonna surprise some people this year.

now as for me not belonging on here i could care less.so what if i talk a little smack on here. you logan fans sure talk alot of it durring the season.so i blow some smoke in your face ,big deal quit being a baby about it! i want you guys to talk smack a little and yes i know its early but come on lets have some fun.

Were you The Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail? "Get back here, it's just a flesh wound." Really, it's too early for this. however, do you really think THIS Logan senior class is going to lose at home on Senior Night?

CAV95
I ALL HONESTY I HOPE CHILLI HAS A GOOD YEAR BUT, I REALLY DON'T THINK THEY CAN PULL IT OFF THIS YEAR EITHER. THEY COULDN'T KEEP PACE LAST YEAR WITH LOGAN AND THEY HAD MORE SEASONED SKILLED PLAYERS. THE RAIN SLOWED LOGAN DOWN MORE THEN CHILLI DID.

Warren's in D2 R7 now, too.

It's stacked.

Logan vs. Chilli
Angle throws 3 TD's and runs 1 in.
Logan-48
Chilli-15
Just my prediction.
Amyx will pull the starters 3 minutes into the 3rd.

I have no doubt that Logan will be the favorite in their match up with Chilli next year. They should be. They will most likely be the more skilled team. But...Logan will not score 48 on Chilli...No one will score 48 on Chilli. While their offense may not be very good next year, the defense will be stacked. I dont know if Chilli will score 15 either but Logan will certainly not score 48. Chilli will be in a lot of 10-7, 13-7, 9-0 type games next year. Their D will carry the, to some W's.

The ONLY reason Logan wont score 48 on Chilli will becuase like he said they will have the starters pulled before the 3rd is over. Logan will be up by 20-30 pts at the 1/2 and then they'll put it in cruise control. Logan will dominate that game.

1. Logan
2. Chillicothe
3. Ironton
4. Warren
5. Portsmouth
6. Gallia Academy
7. Jackson
8. Marietta

Logan is almost a guarentee to win the league, but from 2-8 is anyone's guess, I might have Chillicothe little too high, but I don't know if Ironton is for real this year (they seem to be). I think Warren could suprise some people and finish as high as 2nd, and who knows about Portsmouth (they are unpredictable every year). Even though the talent looks to be down, it should an exciting year in the Seoal (minus Logan)

Some of the reports coming out on other sites about Chillicothe this year--it might be a .500 season for them.

Looks like Ironton and Logan will be the big boys on the block

You need to go to that game to see Patrick Angle. You all know my prediction for this game.

I do believe Ironton is going to have a helluva year but I do not believe they will even slow Logan down. Ironton finishes 2nd and most likely dominates everyone besides Logan.

It appears that the SEOAL will have a down year in talent this year but there are some big schools in the league that could surprise some teams. There is no doubt that Logan is the best team in the league and will continue to be the best team. Also I feel Ironton could have a very good year but they need to learn how to pass the ball if not they will see 9 in the box this year and that will cause trouble for any team.

Portsmouth will not finish any worse than 3rd and I really think they will challenge for 2ND.

1a. Logan - Here till someone proves otherwise, however I expect them to get a little competition this year. Look for the big matchup between what I expect will be 2 4-0 teams week 5 at Ironton, other then that the Chieftain’s biggest challenges in league will come for Jackson and Chillicothe in weeks 9 and 10.
1b. Ironton - Has the best chance to take the top spot from Logan. I have listed them 1a and 1b for this reason. With Logan traveling to Tank don't be surprised if the Fighting Tigers are the front runners after week 5. After that the Tigers will have to be able to compose themselves for the athleticism of Chillicothe and the air assaults I suspect they will see form Portsmouth and Jackson.
3. Portsmouth - Could have a breakout year after a disappointing 08 season. The Trojans will also helped by not having to play Logan. The Trojans could finish higher but I want to wait and see how much they have improved before moving them up the list anymore.
4. Chillicothe - Always towards the top of the league and very athletic. This year the Cavs only return 5 starters, and will be with out the services of Caleb Knights and company.
5. Gallia Academy - The Blue Devils are a talented team, but will become a victim of a tough schedule. There is no break week 3-9, with the Devils hosting Ironton to open league play before a non-league match with Logan week 4. The Devils may have a chance to get back on track against Jackson week 5 if the Ironmen don't have the new system click yet. After that they play Portsmouth and Chillicothe, before 2 tough non league games with Bishop Hartley and Zanesville.
6. Jackson - New coach new system, the Ironmen will be improved, but will have some trouble adjusting to the new system which may hurt them early. The Ironmen should be comfortable with the system by mid season, and they will need to be as the last 4 weeks for the Ironmen will be a real grind.
7. Marrietta- The loss of Westbrook and Munfield will be too much for the Tigers to over come. Look for them to be competitive but come just short in the league games.
8. Warren - I look for Warren to start off the season at 5-1 before going 0-4 in there last 4 games of the season. I think a long trip to Portsmouth and hosting Logan Chillicothe and Ironton in consecutive weeks will be too much for Warren to over come.

1a Logan 4-1 with loss to Ironton
1a Ironton 5-1 with loss to Chillicothe
3a Portsmouth 4-2 with loss to Ironton Chillicothe
3b. Chillicothe 4-2 with losses to Ironton and Logan
5 Gallia 2-3 with losses to Ironton Portsmouth and Chillicothe
6 Jackson 1-5 with losses to Portsmouth Gallia Ironton Chillicothe and Logan,
7 Marietta 1-4 with losses to Jackson, Logan, Portsmouth, and Gallia
8. Warren 0-5 with losses to Marietta Portsmouth Logan Chillicothe and Ironton

This is just my guess how it will all work out. 3-8 will be an absolute dog fight. I have Marietta going 1-4 but could see them as good as 4-1. Same thing for Gallia the 3 losses that I have for them 2 are winnable games. Chillicothe is in the some boat and could challenge for a share of the title. The real wild cards as I see it are Portsmouth, Jackson and Warren. The Trojans have the athletes and a schedule that give them a chance to challenge this year, but will they put it together?
The Ironmen have to adjust to a new system, how fast can they get it?
Warren, will they continue their current improvement, or will a tough league schedule be too much?

All this should make for a great season of SEOAL football.

Should be an exciting year for the Trojans in the SEOAL but I will be glad when we play everybody in 2010.......this unbalanced schedule is very awkward........I know that Logan has had their way with us in the first couple of meetings, but we should play them........they're in the same SEOAL that we're in.
