No way Logan seats more than 5500. More than 500 hundred around the fence would seem quite crowded.
8,000 would tick off the fire marshall I imagine.
It's a great place and plenty of bleachers for a 2nd round game....glad we're there.

Trench you got a bad source man, I seriously doubt that place seats 8000,the opening night attendence in 2008 was 4568 biggest crowd ever at Logan,I don't think I saw 3000 empty seat that night unless my eyes were deceiving me,but the answer about when Coate coached at Logan was 82-84

1982-84? Long time ago.....did the Veidt brothers play football for Logan back then?

Coate coached at Logan from 1982 to 1984. Followed Dave Snipes (1979-1981) and preceded Clarence Perry (1985-1989).
Logan was pretty much a mess following the 1978 teachers strike and the program was not in good shape. Coate laid a foundation to rebuild and Clarence Perry took Logan to a new level.

Logan Chieftain Stadium has seating for 6000 - 4000 on the home side and 2000 on the visitors side.
There is a set of "band" bleachers for the home team that holds a couple of hundred.

I may take off Friday and sneak in and keep sitting down beside where I just sat to get a true count.LoganLocos wrote:Logan Chieftain Stadium has seating for 6000 - 4000 on the home side and 2000 on the visitors side.

One more day this week cant go by quick enough this year's team is a good team alot better then what I thought they could do. The offense needs to get started from the first whistle of the game to the last. Jackson can not afford to play a first half like they did in Athens, if so they could be behind quick. I believe coach Hall will have his team ready for the challenge how is Landrum's ankle is it 100%. Last week Regan Williams did a good job at fullback but would like to see him more at his TE position. I look for Jackson to win a very very very close game lets show them how IRONMEN football is played.

Landrum is going to be full go! Parks full go!
I think this will be the most exciting matchup of the weekend. One mistake by either team could decide the game. The Ironmen I believe are focused and ready to give Alder all they want as I'm sure Alder is as well. Should be quite an atmosphere in Chieftan Stadium!
Ironmen in a battle wins and advances to regional finals! :122246
