I'm not interested in frustrating you. I'd personally prefer that you go away, but we both know that's not going to happen. So, I'll just continue to do my thing, and you'll continue to do yours. I have no hard feelings at all.
if you know i'm not going away, why bring it up? (you're wasting space, ya know).

who said anything about hard feelings? must just be something in YOUR mind.

I don't want to read about Xs and Os. I don't want to read any analysis of this game. I just want people to puff out their chests and give me history lessons. I'm now quite positive that what happened 5-10-15 years ago are going to play a huge role in what happens Friday night. I really don't want to hear people's opinions of the two teams. I especially don't want to hear what those who have seen both teams have to say. I now know due to history that the Indians don't stand a chance... Or maybe they do because of Burg's youth... But there's no way because they are in SOC II... But they could because Burg is finally rebuilding... But then again, Valley is cursed against Burg and have never beaten a Burg team with a winning record.

These are the things I want to read! In no way do I care about what offenses or defenses these teams run or how the players match up! I really just want to get on here and argue semantics and yell louder about my team because they have history. No other team is allowed to win or have a better team because I say so. I'm now fully aware that even if Valley wins it will be an abberation and therefore it will not matter because they haven't won SOC II the last 10 years. Valley is now playing with an asterisk and only glorified cheerleading is accepted on this subject.

BTW, Jesco did mention in a recent thread that the Burg team Valley beat went 0-10 that season... I can't believe that Jesco would ever make a good level headed comment. He's always talking smack!

If we dont win we will lay down on the ground and kick and flop around like a big purple baby ( YOU know like that one big coach )
Its like you know we have 1 good team in like 50 years and we are the badest thing this side of the scoto river or i mean little italy..

You want the honest truth? Here it is....both wheelersburg and minford can't stand the fact that when valley joined the soc 2 EVERYONE said they wouldn't even contend in the first 5 -10 years because it's SOOOO HARD to adjust to the soc 2.
no, EVERYONE didn't say that. in fact, i challange you to show me where ANYONE said that.

If Burg's defensive ends can put pressure on Yates, they could keep it close. If he runs free, then it could be a long night for the Burg.

I do belive that Burg's Freshman and Sophomore's that are playing have matured quite a bit. If memory serves me right, I remember a Burg team 22 years ago in 1989 that played a significant amount of Sophomores on that State Championship team. That team had a Senior QB that could take over a game if needed, just like this years Burg team. The Sophomores were instrumental mainly on defense, just like this years Burg team. Now in no way am I comparing this years Burg team to that 89 team, but they do have some similar qualities. The point I'm getting at is even though this Burg team is young, they will not back down from anyone.

Saw where someone said how arrogant Burg is. I get sick and tired of hearing that. Like I've said before, it's not arrogance, it's called confidence. Everytime a Burg team steps onto a field, court or diamond, they believe that they are going to win that game. That is something that has been enstilled in them ever since they started playing sports at the Burg. How many teams in the area can say that???? If you people outside of the Burg want to call in arrogance, then so be it. If Burg loses though, they look at why they lost and they work on what they need to do to fix it. You don't have only one losing record in the last 40 years just by being arrogant. You do have, by far the best record in Scioto County over those last 40 years by being confident.

Good luck Pirates. This is the first big step towards your 2nd goal of the year, win the SOC. The first is to go undefeated, with the third being making the playoffs. Achieve your 2nd goal and the 3rd goal will follow.

I don't think Burgs secondary matches up to Dywer...but schematically Burg is very similar to West, they just use more pressure I think that could be the difference in Yates getting the ball to Dywer. The game will come down if Valley can run Keller and burg's tackling...he is definitely a horse, but I didn't really see the game breaking speed, if they get 11 hats to the football he can be contained. Burg must contain the big play and keep Valley from getting their momentum going on broken plays like Yates' runs. Also, one matchup problem I saw that Burg gives Valley is athleticism at quarterback. When Ratliff would run, he gave Valley fits and gained the majority of the yards, Shears is very athletic and has a great arm that could be a big problem. In the end I say it will be a good game, I think Valley is 7-14 pts better, but at Ed Miller and with the history, Burg has a punchers chance. Burg 21 Valley 16

I guess you need a cookie. I'm not going through other pages trying to find yours or Jescos posts on the 0-10 comment. I knew I had read it in a Jesco post, so I pointed that out.

And I'm glad that our big purple coach doesn't jump and up and down like a yard ape as Burg's did Friday night. See other people can can name call too.

This whole topic has turned into a joke. Really turns me off on the whole site when the game isn't being discussed. But I guess even that gets frowned upon here!

Winkie,

I am something you use when you want to start a sentence correctly, of course you'd know nothing about that.

Sincerely,

You know, I've actually seen him very excited at a Burg game before. I believe it was in 2003 when Burg was losing to Shennadoah in the playoffs. He really showed himself that night. Isn't that right Coop? :122246

I wasnt at that game, so how would I know? That is a he said/she said situation in my opinion and always will be. As far as the arrogance comments, what do you call it? Honestly? Valley can not win because they have they better team, it has to be because Burg is DOWN. So you tell me?

Wow, laying in bed and I grab my phone to see what people are saying about the game and there's not much to read on here.

It does seem that not many outside of Lucasville are giving the Indians a chance... Sounds good to me! I hope these kids stay focused and be the players they can be this Friday. I love the makeup of this team and I love that people are doubting them... They seem to feed off of these situations. At least they did against West when nobody gave them a shot. This team is on a mission and have a few goals of their own!

i think you have me mixed up with somebody else. i didn't call anybody anything so i think you owe me an appology.

and if you saw the pictures, you'd know that burg's coach had every right to jump up and down.
