Congrats to Athens from this Spartan fan. Athens outmatched Alexander on both sides of the ball and on special teams. They simply are just a better team, but that's not saying Alexander is not a good fooball team. They have a very good chance of going 8-2 on the year and are still looking at a possible playoff birth. They need to refocus and come out ready to play next week. Nelsonville-York is on a roll right now and are going to be a tough team to take down, but the game is in Albany and both teams have great talent to keep it close. I look forward to Friday night.

To Athens- What an atmosphere you guys provided last night. The homecoming parade was excellent, and I liked the National Guard tunnel that your boys got to run through with the dry ice/smoke. It gave me the feeling of a small college football game (except the boys were a tad smaller) haha. You guys have an excellent facility. Good luck the rest of the way.

I know that was extremely hard for you to say all those nice things about Athens...

Also, tell your Spartans that they are the best Spartans Team I have seen in Football in the past 15 years...Coach Arno has them headin' in the right direction...and they played their hearts out...

I may be visiting your Spartanland come next week to watch that Spartan/Buckeye battle...
