I am sure you will get Jackson fans to vote for Austin Wilson considering the "love" you have displayed in your previous posts to this forum. "the way to be seen, is to stand-up, the way to be heard is to speak-up, but the way to be appreciated is to SHUT-UP.

There will be people who choose their MVP based on the upcoming game. The MVP should be selected on the year's preformance not one game. This game may be an exclamation point for one of the top players, but should not be the only thing to consider.

it doesnt take a blind man to see that wilson is better than arthur. for one arthur is just a power back and it is rare you get someone that can beat you at the running game, catch the ball in open field, make people miss, return kicks for touchdowns. So just wait till tomorrow night and you will see why Austin Wilson is the player of the year! He didnt make it to state in track last year at the 100 for nothing!

Well, it's settled. Austin Wilson is the SEOAL MVP. Why? Because everyone from Gallipolis told me he is.

Honestly, neither one of those kids care about that at all. They want their TEAM to win tomorrow night. That's all the matters.

Good post. Both players are looking toward winning tomorrow. Both have had a great year and regardless of who is MVP it will not diminish from the accomplishments of the other.

I didn't say I was surprised or that they shouldn't want Wilson to win the award.

I just think it's ridiculous for people, who probably haven't even seen both kids play in person, to get on here and start talking in absolutes. Even if they have watched both RBs play a game this year, it's still impossible to say which is better. All I know is that they have both put up great numbers, and most importantly, they have helped their teams win a lot of football games. As pappy1 said, people are putting way too much emphasis on this Arthur vs. Wilson head-to-head matchup. It's Jackson vs. Gallia Academy, and as I said before, that's all that matters.

I must be blind.

If you think Arthur is "only a power back" then you obviously haven't seen him play.

In terms of game speed, I wouldn't take very many players over Arthur. I've seen both guys play - they are both very very good football players.

My guess is that neither player will decide this game - they are both great runners, receivers, and defensive players.

It's more likely that the other 10 guys on the field will have as much an affect as either of these two guys.

I remember back in 1964 when it came to Jackson vs Logan each team had a power back and all the talk was about the two big backs. If I remember right neither one had much to do with the score

If you are going to give the edge because someone made the state track meet....shouldn't you play all the girls that make it for Gallia Academy every year.

Track meets are on the finest of running surfaces....Memorial Field is not equipped for too many track meets.

Will Mr.Wilson be using his starting blocks? Make sure he doesn't have his waistband cuffed or he will be DQ'd....that would be a horrible way to finish his career.

Klay would've been on Jackson's jv track team if he would've ran track. Probably would've had to use the girls' shot put. He's very slow.....Gallia Acdemy fans need not worry....it's insanely easy to rush for 170 yards against Ironton

yea jackson beat ironton but you have to question if ironton was mentally there after the alder game and without there captain and best player

every one knows klay is a great running back ive seen the kid play he a complete back he runs for power and if the o-line gives him a crease he has the speed to take it to the house

wilson is more of an all-purpose back and he may be a hard runner but isnt in anyway a power back he has a gift that you cant teach and that is "speed" is you give him any space at all hes gone

bluedevil.....do not take anything away from Jackson's win over Ironton......they won, we got taken to the woodshed by the same team.

Ironman92......because Green14 made a dumb post, you didn't have to do the same.

I have to agree with pappy 1 . These are high school KIDS, playing their hearts out for their schools, their communities, and a league title. They both deserve the respect of all the fans who support them. No matter what the outcome of the game , both teams have earned my respect in the way they have represented our league and all of southeast Ohio.

I don't know much about these two teams. I attend the University of Rio Grande, which is very close to both school, and on any given friday in the fall I root for both. However, I am from washington court house, I am rooting for jackson this week. They need to win for WCH, if that happens and WCH wins, we would be in the playoffs most likely. I have payed attention to the scores of both teams and occasionally looking at some stats. from my knowledge wellston beat jackson and gallia beat wellston. Jackson beat ironton and ironton beat Gallia. This is a toss up. but I will take Jackson 28-21
