You better believe those times are legit. Those boys didnt just outrun the entire SOC track competition and plenty of other bigger schools with weak 40 times.

Just joking as you are typing in uppercase letters and that translates to yelling or talking loudly in PC/email lingo. :122245

This group of burg kids are lead by a few seniors and a bunch of juniors. Seniors are battle tested and the juniors have a whole year of experience. this junior class is well coached and dominated thier frosh year. that same group established themselves in last years defensive squad on the Dline and at LB. I dont look for them to be slouches this year. These kids are ripped and ready for football. I dont respond to Ironton faithful saying this game is a blowout. They are not true Ironton fans. What I believe this game will come down to is the Oline for both teams. This will be a running game and the team that gets 4-5 yards a carry will win. Less To's. Good luck to both teams. They deserve our gratitude. We love this week 1 game.

I agree and am not saying they run a 4.5 in pads. It all evens out across the board. With that said Burg will still have game speed and both Craigmiles and Schankwiler can run with the best of them. Not to mention their strength and size near or over 190.

Anyone who says the game will be a blowout hasn't watched many games between the two teams. Has there been blowouts,a few but this is usually a hard fought game that who wins has the least turnovers .And after it is over both sides walk off the field with respect for the other and know the storied history of both programs .Three state titles between them, heck I will even give Nelsonville-York credit for there state title here :122249

It would be great to see Coach Lutz spend this year doing something fans have just not seen before. Pass, pass, pass!

It will be nice! With the number of skilled players he has, he simply has to.To compete for state championships nowadays you have to have some type of passing game,it is evident b/c the state titles have been staying up north.

No, but I've seen some that have passed more than most people might guess. One example would be when Jim Peyton was the QB.

Just curious, which of the 2007 state champs do you consider to be "up north"?
