D&C, I'm feeling warm and fuzzy inside now. I remember looking at that countdown when it was like 60 days and thinking that it would never get here, but here we are.
I won't disagree with you on that moonschein, but everything is built so we must move forward and enjoy our new state of the art facilities. I've been a huge critic of the whole districts' building plan from the start but I've tried to back off recently because I realized that no matter what I say on a message board, the fact is that the schools are done or almost done. I do however reserve my "I told you so rights" for a later date.
Still feeling all warm and fuzzy and still picking the Chiefs for a 23-20 thrilling overtime victory. GO CHIEFS!!
NEVER GIVE UP, Fight till the end maybe some of the poor decison will lead to some of the leaders leaving! Back to the game at about 9:45 tonight the scoreboard will read Lancaster 30 Logan 17. Boy's still give it your all and never NEVER give up!

OK, I'm going to go back to my favorite sports movie, Hoosiers, and bring up the final locker room scene. It is when the pastor gives the final prayer- And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
so....any of you seop'ers going to the tailgate before the game? If so look for me. I will be in the GOLD lancaster Golden Gales golf shirt. I would love to meet you all before the game and get a little more trash talkin in before kick off....LOL
From The Columbus Dispatch high school preview section today:
Lancaster
• Coach: Rob Carpenter (year at school: 11th; career record: 85-62)
• Last year: 7-4, 4-1 (tied for first in OCC Ohio; Division I regional quarterfinalist)
• Top players: QB-LB Ryan Cheek (6-1, 235, sr.); DB-WR Nathan Carpenter (5-10, 185, jr.); T Adam Grein (6-0, 286, sr.); C Nathan Cheek (6-2, 230, jr.); G Cody Byers (5-11, 235, sr.); TE-LB T.J. Alexander (6-1, 230, jr.).
• The goods: The program appears to be on a roll, having won at least a share of the Ohio title four of the past five seasons and making the playoffs each year. Coach Carpenter, however, is concerned by dwindling numbers because of a $400 participation fee. The Golden Gales have plenty of strong, skilled athletes but could need some time adjusting to new offensive and defensive schemes.
the $400 pay to play fee a couple years ago did hurt numbers. but the fee is nowhere near that anymore, its $100 for high school sports and $65 for junior high. Lancaster will rebound quickly as far as numbers are concerned. The freshamn team dressed 55 players last night.
The Gales will continue to compete for conference title for years to come, although it will be tougher with the new expanded OCC
