I thought Trimble should have been in the Ohio too. There are no indications that Trimble could not compete in the Ohio, and it would have drew additional interest in fans to attend games for the Tomcats. League championships would be more difficult to come by, but I think overall it would have made Trimble stronger come playoff time in most sports.
Agreed!

If Trimble and NY did consolidate in the future, I think we could give most of the larger schools in SEOH a run for their money in most sports. We'd still have fewer students [small D III], but we'd at least have a fighting chance to compete year in and year out with them.

This could be our schedule, even if the TVC OHIO stayed as is:

Logan
Jackson
Gallia Academy
Fairfield Union
New Lexington
Wellston
Meigs
Vinton County
Alexander
Athens

Or if there were some expansion of the SEOAL, I think the NY/Trimble consolidated team would get an invite.

I read on here all season from NY posters how every team in the TVC had weak schedules except them. How they were the only team that scheduled to get ready for the playoffs. Well you might want to worry about your own schedule instead of the rest of the TVC. 0-8 in the playoffs.

I too remember reading about this all season. Also how this team would essentially walk through region 19. Now we get excuses. Just sayin.

Wasnt this MY team the one the coaches "had been waiting for"? The team that would win another state title?

Personally, I think we play to the level of our competition. We shoudnt be scrimmaging WV single A teams and we shouldnt be playing Ohio D6 teams. No wonder we werent ready.......

I have to say it is really sad that NY can't win a playoff game. I really thought this would be the year. Something has to change soon. We can't keep blaming the players, the opponents, the refs, the flu etc... Fact is we had some of the most talented players on this team in school history, and yet we didn't win the league, nor a playoff game. It is unfortunate for the players to have to be slighted like this. Yes 9-2 is a good year, but I know the kids deserved more IMO.

bottom line....the north end of the county is long on athletes and short on leadership. "How long till the coach gets mad, resigns, and then takes the job back........again!

What? That hasn't happened yet this year? Man what's going on? I figured by this time of the school year this would have already happened at least once, maybe twice.

Yeah i know who started that whole thing that nickname. Tells me who you guys are. BTW, NYs defense looked better this year since they got real coaches to call it. maybe next year when they bring back the PE teacher and his former player they can improve on what these guys from the local midget leagues are currently doing on offense.......
