The visitors side has 1,500 seats.........10 rows that extend from about the 10 yard line to the 10 yard line........there are plenty of seats for the visitors.........if you go inside and take a closer look you will realize that there are a lot of seats for the visitors.

I always sit with the opposing team....that way when they are quiet...nobody there can miss the guy whooping it up in their midst. Way better than salt in the wound.

Ralph Applegate stated last night after the staff banquet that the projected completion date of Phase 1 of the complex will be July 15th.

No Trojan Head at the 50? No writing in the end zones?

Will they have any words / pictures on the field turf?

Also, where will the 'press box' be located at?

GO TROJANS

I talked to Coach Clifford.

He said the press box will be above the home bleachers. It is 66' X 12'.

There will be a huge Trojan head at the 50 yardline. It will be red and blue (school colors).

The end zones will be in school colors too. They will have Portsmouth Trojans written on them in block letters.

Also, total seating will be about 4,300.

Also, Coach Clifford told me that they will be practicing at the new facility. They are NOT going to practice at Spartan Stadium like some have been saying.

there wil be a hiuge trojjan head at center field..."15 feet large " is what I was told, also, Portsmouth in one endzone, and Trojans in the other.

Maybe, they should have an old-timer game.

You should organize it!

Portsmouth against Ironton!!!

What do you say? :-D

How about a rematch of the 97 season when the PHS and Ironton split 2 regular season games, or the 2001 when PHS lost to Ironton in the regular season only to beat them in the playoffs.

We could also do a rematch of the 2002 regional championship PHS vs. West. That year the Trojans beat West at the Rock but lost to the Senators in the "Mud Bowl" at Ironton. (I’d like to see this one on a dry field)

I would pay to see any of these games, even if all the guys are probably old and out of shape.

Don't ever blame a loss on field conditions. It makes you sound like a sore looser.

Place is shaping up very well. I love some of the views from the stands. Biggdowg, does that offer stand for everyone who fills up those visitors stands? I feel fairly confident Ironton wont have any problem filling up that visitor seating. If it is around 1,500, I think Ironton could easily double that. Especially if the game is of even more importance than it always is. I like mine with sauce just in case.
