SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
The day is finally here. Jackson @ Gallia Academy. Week 10. Playoffs and the S.E.O.A.L Title on the line.
For the Jackson boys, you control not only your own destiny, but better yet, you control the destiny of the Gallia Academy Blue Devils. If Jackson wins, no shot at a league title for Gallia and playoffs would be a long shot, if not impossible for the Blue Devils. The Ironmen have not beat the Blue Devils at Memorial Stadium since 1997, if I'm not mistaken. Well, this is a Jackson team that has changed things such as this and disproved people the entire season. With a win tonight, you will live forever in the history of Jackson football and you will be playing a week 11 game at Alumni Stadium. The stakes couldn't be much higher in this one. It's going to be one unbelievable football game.
On the other hand, Gallia Academy is fighting for it's life. If they lose this game, they leave empty handed. No title, no playoffs and a lot of these seniors will have played the last down of football they'll ever play. Gallia Academy is going to be ready to play this game and anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken. They're going to feed off of the emotion their student section gives them and they're going to play hard until 00.0 in the 4th quarter.
I'm excited for this one you guys, Jackson @ Gallia Academy, thats all that needs to be said. This game is going to be physical. It's going to be a hostile, loud environment. There's going to be obscenities used on the field. There are going to be past players dreaming about playing this game. There are going to be ghosts GAHS and JHS football legends taking the field with these young men tonight. There are going to be kids in net jerseys wishing their peewee years away, just to play this game tn.
That's simply the nature of how this game is played. There's no other game like it.
Gallia's big plays will keep them competetive. A great effort and memorable game by the Blue Devils will end with a loss. Jackson leaves victorious. 34-21.

x-factor... A great post except for the results I just hope the hostility stays on the field and ends when whistle blows. It would be a nice thing to see both teams make playoffs as I keep hearing the league as a whole is down. Everyone thinks league is down because Logan didn't win easily. Well the 2 teams tonight will represent SEOAL well and hopefully again next week.
Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
Good Luck to both teams. Safe travel for the Jackson Fans... Dress warm....

I agree with that 07. It has been a good league for alot of different schools over the years. Just think of the schools that are still in the SEOAL since it's creation. WOW!!! Must not be too bad of league!!!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!!!! Bring home the outright CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might not be a high scoring game.
Jackson defense put the stop on Ironton and without Winchester Jackson's offense will not roll as well, but I can see Jackson winning by less than a TD.

Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
I find it a touch humorous that my post bothers anyone. I'm completely respectful of everything involved with this game on both sides....except for a few posters. I've been on here a good while and mostly just try to stay factual with an open mind as my views are just that and no one has to agree.
BUT...I will turn sarcastic when it just goes too far. Few on here can appreciate how impressive it is to make the state track meet more than I can. I haven't anything but great comments about the talents of Mr. Wilson. I expect him to be as great or greater than he has been all year. I wish Austin the best of luck the remainder of his high school career and beyond.
On the flipside it goes the same for Klay. This kid has worked so hard running after practices on his own time, jogging through town after practice. He like Wilson is relentless. He may have 20 rushes for 45 yards.....and he's still one of the best backs I've seen for Jackson. His strength and speed is an amazing combination. I don't know how many times Chilicothe had 3-5 guys on him but never knocked him down...had to wait on the whistle to blow.....and I've yet to see anyone catch him in the open field. His speed is so much improved over last year....due to his hard work.
BTW.....I completely agree that Austin is faster.
All of a sudden we are allowing posters with names of HATE for other schools/cities???
How often can we bring up 1995, 1999 and 2004? I understand they are going to come up every year...but it seems pretty heavy this year....and it seems to be brought up to antagonize more than mention.
"Jaymie Haggerty will have 3X the athletic career of Jared Humphreys"
Kudos to the 90% of Gallia Academy posters who aren't completely biased on here. It's been enjoyable going back and forth over the years in many different sports. The 10% is just a little more bothersome than in past couple of years.
Best of luck to both team! Winner will KNOCK off Roger Bacon!....you heard it here first!

Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
good luck to both teams tonight, either will represent the seoal league crown with class.
Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
The streak sweatshirts were awesome....however I'd never buy anything of that sort for I know as soon as I invest over 50 cents for anything like that...the streak would be over ASAP. My negative luck seems more powerful than the Madden/SI curses.
I understand the 95 commenting....pretty similar comparisons.......2004 and 1999? I just don't see the comparisons.
Good Luck to both teams with a completely injury free game.

I'll cast a vote for these two teams playing twice this year.

Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
2004 because Jackson was a heavy favorite. I considered us favorites...but not heavily fore Gallia Academy always seemed to play us well regarldless....but either was it's mainly semantics or adjetives.....however I do not view us as favorites this year. I believe our teams are very equal with each team having some slight edges in certain areas....but game at Memorial...on grassish type stuff and more on the line for Gallia Academy and Jackson without one of their best players...IMO at worst this is an even matchup. I do not know anyone who thinks Jackson is a heavy favorite.
1999 was certainly unique (maybe moreso since both the home and away teams had to share the same stands on Jackson's old home side)....but what scenario would have Jackson vs Gallia Academy in week #11? The only scenario I see couldn't happen before week #12.....which if that happened, well 1999 would be the talk of the thread for sure!

Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
is jackson's 2nd string qb out too?? peoples been telling me he might not play? anybody know
Re: SEOAL Championship: Jackson @ Gallia Academy
Ervin will be at QB as far as I know. The first player in at QB for Winchester was Steven Kearns all year......I don't know anything of these players not being available to play.
