another turnover on downs. Ironton offense not doing it and our defense has no answer for the pass.

Ironton needs to get the defense off the field. 3 long drives by Wheelersburg, going to be a tired Tiger team in the 2nd half.

1st and goal for the Tigers, this should do it if they can punch it in. Under 3 and a half minutes left in the game.

Good to hear that the Fighting Tigers look like they're gonna pull this one out. Could be a brutal season though.

only the 1st game but the issues with the pass coverage aren't anything new. Be a big problem later in the year when we play the bigger teams.

another TD pass for Wheelersburg, wonder if we are still using that soft zone. Whatever D we're using, it isn't working.

I think burg may be a little better than people expected if it wasent for them two turnovers early in the game, they may have got a w. both teams played a heck of a game until the last whistle blew good job guys heck of a game.

good start for the tigers. look for burg to have another fine year, it weren't purty, but a w is a w.

I think Burg fans are happy with what they saw tonight. Really liked the no huddle uptempo offense. Take away one of those first ironton TD's and Burg might have pulled this one out. Saw the replay on WSAZ on the fumble and I'm not so sure that Martin had possession of the ball long enough. Burg has to take care of the ball better and needs to catch the wide open passes.

This Burg team team is still very young. A lot of Juniors and Sophomores playing and they still almost pulled it out. Tigers are big and fast again but Burg had them on the ropes.

Oh well. Great game again between two of the premier teams in Southern Ohio. Burg now has to put this game behind them and venture down 52 to play another tough Lawrence county team in Coal Grove

it does seem to get hot and miserable after about 3 hours of being packed in there. the 3rd quarter alone took an hour to play for some reason ( ) but after a couple of hours went by the weather started to cool off a bit.

The 3rd qtr took so long because of all of the ironton players that were hitting the turf because of cramps. Do they not do any conditioning during the summer practices? I do not remember seeing a single Burg player on the truf because of cramps.

Well consider that our boys got no relief what so ever in that game, pre-game they were in the heat and half-time they were in the heat in a cramped locker room. While the burg players were in air conditioning during pre-game and half-time.
so, did they have air conditioning and therefore no cramps tonight ?
