Re: Region 21
[quote="MCdude"]what would have to happen in order for Monroe Central to be seeded at #5 or higher? I saw early in the thread Monroe Central was projected a #4 seed.. What are the chances of that still happening? Monroe will more than likely win out and finish at 8-2.[/quote
I think MC is in a very good spot. They are of course rooting against Grandview Heights. They could also use any and all help they can get from Magnolia.

The things for MC hosting are:
Union Local going 1-2 over the next 3 weeks (best bet is them beating Bellaire)
Buckeye Trail beating West Muskingum
Magnolia going 3-0 (which includes St. Mary's WV in which they are a large underdog)
Frontier beating Valley WV (they should but its not a slam dunk)
Union Local is our only team that can make up for the others. So if Trail loses to West Musky then we'd need Union Local to make it up by going 2-1; but UL plays Shadyside and St. C (combined 14-0)
If the above 4 conditions happen then that would at least get us a final point total that should put us in the 4th / 5th seed range (but nothing is guaranteed). If none of the above happens then MC will have a point total consistent with what the 8th seed will have, and any combination in between will put us anywhere in between.
Of course then there is what the other teams in Region 21 do in their games which could render all or part of the above moot.
Re: Region 21
And Union Local gave a tough Martins Ferry team a scare in week 6, if they play like that they could compete with Shadyside and St. Clairsville IMO. It would take heck of a game on Union Locals part.

I think they do. It seems like West Jeff has gotten it together and are playing better.MCdude wrote:Any chance Grandview loses tonight?

Re: Region 21
Oak Hill would likely have to lose next week to miss the playoffs, but the stay will be a short one with a long ride to and from F-town possibly looming. Bad, bad loss tonight.MightyOaksFan wrote:Oak Hills spot up for grabs now. Got beat at Symmes Valley in OT
Re: Region 21
IMO more and more this region looks up for grabs 1-8, just a matter of which team peaks at the right time. Sure Fredericktown will win out and be the 1 or 2 but after watching them last week, not convinced they will make it out of the region.
Re: Region 21
Week 11 prediction after week 8:
#8 Oak Hill @ #1 Valley
#7 Ridgewood @ #2 Fredricktown
#6 Nelsonville-York @ #3 Grandview Hts.
#5 Monroe Central @ #4 Centerburg
#8 Oak Hill @ #1 Valley
#7 Ridgewood @ #2 Fredricktown
#6 Nelsonville-York @ #3 Grandview Hts.
#5 Monroe Central @ #4 Centerburg
Re: Region 21
The only way Valley jumps Fredericktown is if they beat Burg. Grandview got a big win last night and should win their last two to finish 8-2. Not sure if an 8-2 Grandview would be enough to jump Valley for the #2 spot if the Indians lose to Burg. Going to be a close one for the #4 through #8 spots. Don"t think MC has enough points left to jump up to #5. I would put them around #6 or #7. With the Oaks loss last night that may open the door for someone else.

I would love to see the math on that...Nelsonville isn't getting anywhere near that number unless they beat Athens....Not happening....
Ready's number with the loss today will not be anywhere near that figure.
Nothing personal, but I think you made some serious mistakes.
