How you figure it was lobsided?Kirtland scored a meaningless Td with 1:30 left. Fort had the ball down 3 with 10 to go. That game was far from “lopsided”

Let’s talk about the D7 State Final between Trimble and McComb.

Trimble 13-1. Defense gave up 75 points in 14 games or 5.3 per. Offense scored 535 points in 14 games or 38.2 per. They posted 9 shutouts including 6 in a row from Week 7 through Week 12. Their loss was in Week 5 to D5 R20 playoff qualifier CHCA (21-20).

They lost in the State Finals in 2013 and lost in the State Semis in 2014.

McComb 13-1. Defense gave up 187 points in 14 games or 13.4 per. Offense scored 575 points in 14 games or 41.1 per. They posted 0 shutouts. Their loss was in Week 7 to D7 R26 playoff qualifier Pandora Gilboa (14-19).

They won a State Championship in 1983 and lost in the State Semis in 2012, 15 and 16

Let’s do a Harbin Type Model on The Playoff Runs of McComb and Trimble. I think it will be interesting to show their 4 playoff wins and the opponents they defeated along this path as well as the teams that were taken down by those opponents. Albeit, first level and second level situations similar to the Computer System that establishes our Regional Quarterfinalists.

McComb. R26. 5 seed. Played their first game on the road. The thinking was if they could pull that win out they would be playing #1 ranked Sycamore Mohawk in Week 12 but the path they embarked on took a few turns.
