Wow futurebkstar, your winning percentage of 91% is same same amount of the percentage of your posts that are crap! You should have been drafted in all three sports! Try coaching the big boys and winning their JUNIOR VARSITY!!!! Then you can brag!

Yeah ok you all get the Peakes hand-me-downs witch automatically comes with transfers from all of the surrounding schools that actually have players that want to play for a good coach! And you guys didnt beat us I know of tleast one tiem that you were said to have the better team

Surely with his ability to get them to "run through a brick wall" he can get them to play hard in a tournament game. I mean winning all those games and then to lose in the sectional most of the time has to suck. Never being to the regional when you are winning 15-18 games a season I think tells a story. Maybe they should toughen up the schedule. Get the boys use to playing against better competition. Either that, or let the obvious team motivator speak to the team during the tourny to get them fired up to play.

I never knew that you had to be fired up to play a basketball game, its not there is a play called KICK ASS in basketball like there was in that movie the REPLACEMENTS in a football game haha

I deleted several of my posts on here because I may have posted somethings on here that are in dispute. then it just got out of control.

I should have talked to someone before I posted something about him.

I thought I could trust another person and that person may have told me mistruths. So I deleted the stuff.

I am a big of enough person to own up to my mistakes. So, Brace if I wronged you, I apologize. I thought I could take the AD's word on some things, but I guess I was wrong.

As for the shots at Brace for the JV winning streak...
We all know that it is easy to take shots at him for his winning steak, BUT

He is the JV coach. He plays the teams on the schedule and plays with the players he is given by the head coach. He does a good job and should be proud of what he accomplishes with them. he probably could be a head coach some day but has said he has no desire to be one ( I don't really blame him b/c head coaches are the ones who get all the heat).

Thanks boogered. I too apologize about the remarks I said about you. I need not to take things so personal when they arent true. My current job at South Gallia is to be the JV coach. I love the boys for playing hard for me regardless of what level I am coaching. Its sometimes hard to coach teams when players are being moved up and down, quarters here and there, or not getting certain younger kids. I play my schedule and hope for the best. As far as our AD goes, he does a fine job cause life as an independent school would be a nightmare for an independent. Also, as far as me being a Varsity coach, I have been but at baseball. I think my teams were ready to play and did a good job. As for the varsity job at South Gallia, I would fight for Coach Saunders and I thats the truth. That man has done more for me as a player and as a coach. I owe him a great deal. I want to be on his staff as long as I can coach!!!

I know what you are talking about with coaching JV. We have had the task of playing JV football games with 15 players and that is not fun!

I don't hate Jimmy and things got a little out of control, so instead of being a jerk all the time, I made my peace with him. It is not always about stirring up crap and starting fights! Although, that can be quite fun some times.

mercerville monster wrote:The Rebels have had decent tourney results sice Saunders has taken over as head coach.

2004 - Lost by 2 to Southeastern in Sectional Champ. We had the last shot of the game which was a three that was off by a matter of 1-2 inches short.

2005 - Beat Symmes Valley in Sectional Champ. Lost to State Runner Up South Webster by 14 in Districts.

2006 - Beat Trimble in Sectional Championship. Got beat in Districts by State Champion South Webster.

2007 - Lost to District champ Waterford in Sectional Championship. Rebels in my opinion was the better team but did not show up to the game and you cant do that in the tourney. Waterford was ready to play and beat us by 15.

2008 - Lost to Waterford again and I think they may have been District Champs last year as well. Lost by 1 or 2 points and we had the last shot of the game which was a 5 foot shot off the back of the rim. We were up by 13 at one time in the third but couldnt hang on. Waterford had a better team but we showed alot of heart and stuck right there with them and should have won it.

I dont think those are bad tourney results. Losing to a team for two years in a row when they were in the state championship and another that was District Champs two years in a row. Thats a pretty tough schedule for the tournament, especially in the early rounds. We will be okay. Not many teams want to play the Rebels come tourney time cause we are ready ( except in 07) and will play as hard as we can until the end.

Just a correction, in 2005, South Webster was not State runner-ups. They lost in the regional finals, though they were later awarded the regional championship by forfiet when Africentric lost their title.

I saw Dale Duke last Friday at Bennigans in Point and it looks like the young man is starting to really grow into his body. You could definitely tell he has been lifting hard. I talked to him for quite a spell. He said he is squatting 450, deadlifting close to 500 and closing in on 300 on the bench.

All I can say is, "Get'em, Baby Duke!"

I know that Burleson and Peck have others in the weight room busting their butts and getting stronger. SG will be more experienced and will have a better record this year.

Any changes on the schedule this year?

It seems like Dale Duke is trying to break my dead lift record at SG. He doesnt have much more do go before he does that...
