I feel fairly confident Ironton wont have any problem filling up that visitor seating. If it is around 1,500, I think Ironton could easily double that. Especially if the game is of even more importance than it always is. I like mine with sauce just in case.

you better bring a lot more then the last time you was all here, or you will have to eat your dog plain  .

at our last few metings, both sides was very empty....

but,you come by early, and we will hook you up with plenty to eat before you go inside 8)

I wasn't blaming anything on field conditions. All I said was that I would like to have seen the 02 game on a dry field, or even better a field the quality of the one that is being put down in the new complex. What I was implying was that these were 2 great teams with lots of talent, that didn't get an opportunity to show it thanks to the field conditions. It is obvious that conditions affect games, to what extent is impossible to know.
By the way if we are on the topic of "don't ever", don't ever let your coach get on the radio the next day and say we could have beat that team in the Wal-Mart parking lot, as Mr. Sammons did that year.

Now back to the new complex. The field is looking great, and can't wait to see it when it is finished. Once again, I am willing to eat my words, and say this place is turning out far better then I expected.

:122245 I had never heard that before. You gotta admit, considering what that team did the following week to Ursuline; he was right.

I dont see anything wrong with a chain link fence. Show it off!!!!! You wont be able to watch the game from the fence bacause it will be blocked by the levie on the north end and the concession stand/ locker rooms on the other end. There will be a walking track around there so put a chain link fence up and let people see the complex.

I think a blue chain link fence would look cool.

i agree, chain link woudlnt be any good for this place, it would kind of negate the whole historical look.

I couldnt imagine the cost of a wall, to go around the complex, ..you know how many blocks it is around the entire facility.

it will be a black rubber coated fence matching the fencing around the bleachers inside, from what I was told, and I think it will look very nice.

no standing room???

about 1,200 or more can stand on the levee.

where was all the standing room at Spartan?

besides in both end zones.

if we fill the vistors side up "1,500" every game, Im sure our A.D., will be very happy. 8)

This is going to be one of the top complexes around here, right along with, Valley, and Jacksons

If I was the AD at Portsmouth, I would raise ticket prices for the football games, at least for the first year.

People will pay an extra dollar or two, just to see the new stadium.

The hype around this complex is worth a premium. Why not charge what people are willing to pay? Sounds like a smart idea to me.

The AD could even keep ‘season tickets’ the same price and raise individual tickets sold at the gate. This would result in the fans of visiting schools paying more $$ than the average Trojan fan. The Trojans can always use more $$ from people outside the city limits!! This extra $$ would go a long way in keeping the complex Top Notch.
