Valley 21 - West 17
Re: Valley 21 - West 17
As good and balanced as the league was this year, I think Minford and Burg will both come back to the pack next year. Both loose alot to graduation. Waverly is having a hard time right now. Northwest is getting better. Valley and West should be the two best teams.

Well if you believe West is overated then what is Valley? West outplayed Valley in this game for over 3 qs.
Oh please lets talk about overrated. West should have never been in this game to begin with. How many points did West's offense put up? So obviously there offense is overrated. Pendleton, could be labeled as overrated. Everyone talking about him being a D-1 prospect and a prospect for OSU, I've seen better backs in our area that didn't go to OSU such as Troy Parker, Micheal Parker, Micheal Henry, Darius Lewis, Brad Young, Matt White. Slone looks like the best back in the area. IMO he needs to be better conditioned in the Minford game he was sucking wind in the first quarter, and he got wore down in the Valley game as well. He needs to learn sportsmanship too, which part of that comes from coaching. Face it Crabtree has Triplett's number and has had for some time, I am not sure when he was at River Valley if they even scored a point on Valley.

Easy there....Triplett coached Oak Hill, and they had some battles.

Being D1 talent isn't decided on skill set alone, Jo jo Parker was the back I ever seen in this area, but he was 5'6 150...Trevon is 6'1 230 and has one of the best skill sets I have ever seen...some of those guys you mentioned, had the body but wasn't as fast...or was fast, but didn't have the size Trevon has...he has the complete package as far as a running back. I'm not gonna agrue who's better though, the point is moot, its a matter of opinion and every crow thinks theres is the blackest...I would imagine he would be tired at the end of the Valley game he had 27 carries and plays middle linebacker, and he might of been tired between the plays, but if you watch him when he was the ball he doesn't quit, he gets an extra yard or two on every play...I personally think he has done more with less than what Slone and Shank has, but again thats just my opinion...And as far Triplett, I don't think he ever played Valley while at River Valley, I don't those schools have played...I know he played him at Oak Hill, and yes he lost everytime, but looking at those games, more often than not Valley flat out had the better team...Not taking away from Crabtree he's a good coach, but people are acting like because Triplett believes in running the football, and is having a 6-4 or 7-3 year with a young team hes the worst coach ever

Yes, Valley and River Valley have played...with Valley winning. Don't know or care to know the scores though. If memory serves me correct, they weren't real close contests, but not sure.

Valley should be given credit for playing hard till the end. Watching this game again. West just gave it away. They had the game well under control with 6 minutes to play and about everything that could happen wrong did. Sucks to loose like that but there is alot to learn about finishing the game. Just remember this next year when you come to our place.
