Congrats to the Pirates on a great season and showing a lot of heart with that final drive.

Congrats to the Freddies. Should be a good match-up against the Oaks.

Anyone that has seen the Oaks and Freddies play think they have a shot of knocking off the undefeated Fredericktown team?

Before I get started with my comments about this game, I've got to give props to both bands, they were fantastic tonight. Pre-game was awesome. The combined Star Spangle Banner was fantastic!
Kudos to both schools for your bands, you kids ROCK!

Fredericktown is the class of R19, no doubt. They just totally dominated two historically great football programs in Monroe Central and Wheelersburg. Their regular season schedule of playing nothing but DIII and DIV teams pays dividends in the playoffs. I was there tonight, and I hate to say it, but the Freddies dominated the Pirates, bottom line.

Do the Oaks stand a chance? Of course they do, that is why you play the game. Odds of the Oaks winning against the Freddies? Not very good. Wish Oak Hill the best of luck, but in all honesty, I see the Freddies winning the regional final by about 25 points or so, and then they get the old "booby prize" of having to play Ursuline University in the state semi-finals.

Getting to the final four is quite an accomplishment, so whether it is the Freddies or the Oaks, they should both be proud. Best of luck to Oak Hill, but you've got a load to handle with Fredericktown.

Burg Grad 77 and Orange and Brown, great to see you guys tonight and to catch up. Yabbadabbadoo, nice to meet you and great talking with you and BG 77, it was truly a pleasure. I hope to get to spend more time chatting with you guys at other sporting events, that is the great thing about meeting up with people who post on here. O&B - Buddy, I'll let you know about next Friday night's game asap!

Great season Pirates! Winning 9 in a row and SOCII champs is nothing to hang your heads about!!

Steely summed it up. Fredericktown dominated the game from the start. I don't see the Oaks having much of a chance, but you never know. The Freddies are not the best pass defense team, but with the amount of pressure they bring up the middle EVERY PLAY the QB doesn't have much of a chance. We had a little success on passing when we went 4 wide, but even that was shaky. I remember 2 plays tonight when we had 4th and 43 and 4th and 32. The Freddies also have exceptional speed. They easily had 2-3 guys that were as fast/faster than Shank. Good luck Oaks, you will need it.

Congrats to the Freddies on the win. They dominated on both sides of the ball. There only weakness I see is there pass defense and against a QB like Slone next week, he could be trouble for them. Next weeks game could possibly be a shootout with whover has the ball last will win.

Great season Burg. Nothing to be ashamed of. SOC champs and another playoff victory.

To all the Burg Seniors, great job fellows. Most of you have started since you were Sophomores and you will be sorely missed next season. Good luck in whatever the future holds for you.

It was great to get to meet Steely Dan at the game tonight. He has always been a class act on here and is always praising the Pirates. Thanks and lookinf forward to meeting again some time.

Great season by the Pirates this year. After a slow start they really turned it up a notch and posted 9 straight wins before falling to arguably the best team they faced all year. Nobody else on their schedule shut them down like the Freddies did. It was a pleasure watching you guys this season and good luck to the seniors in their future endeavors and to the underclassmen, get in the weight room and get prepared for next season. The Burg doesn't rebuild, they just reload.

Steely Dan, as always it was great talking to you again at the game last night and thanks for your support of the Pirates,

Congraulations to the Freddies on the win last night. Fredricktown, dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball for the entire game. Best of luck to the Pirate seniors as you move on to the next chapter in your life. Overall, a nice season for Wheelersburg.
