Ironton looked good but Fairland is down from last year and they never play defense. Comparing Fairland to Wheelersburg is like apples and oranges.

I've been telling people about the addition of Portsmouth and ironton to the ovc , careful what you wish for. these programs are beasts that have been laying dormant for a while. but now you gotta saddle up on dem big horses. my wish is that the entire league meets up to these 2 programs, and somehow this can turn into a premiere league in the state.

Just about everyone plus a couple additions, a Linemen and a DB. I think there's 9 Starters back on both sides of the ball and several of them are JR's this year. Ironton has a lot more depth than last year and we actually have a pretty good kicker this year.

this game will go down to the 4th Quarter and be decided by less than 2 scores IMO and they bring the memory of that thumping (49-12) that was handed to them last year!!!!

Not exactly true. Not going into the Ironton talent level which is the main reason they won so much for so long. The very long list. But some of the other kids who suited up and played Big TIme football might include Dennis Bacon, Mike Smith,Walter Delong,Joe Fletcher,MIke Henry,BIg Roman who played very well at Clemson. Wolfgang. Just naming a few off the top of my head. If you are going to say something at least put the whole thing out there.

I would expect nothing less burggrad---------although this series is heavily lopsided in the series----------that has changed, this is always a knock down drag out.i have a sneakin suspicion it's gonna be a classic from 2 premier programs.

ironton should just be on fire for this game after last year. the burg could have hung 80 on us last year if they wanted too. I too hope this is a barn burner.

these 2 programs have been a lil bit idle the last couple years by their standards, both have great schedules.
the Portsmouth Trojans should be much improved, with valley playing great ball. and now teams like Minford, south point , and fairland coming alive, coal grove back in the mix. should be some exciting southern ohio football this year.

Wow!!! Ironton must be amazing this year!!! Saying that either team will win by 2 TDs is a bold statement. I personally dont see this happening. I say at the most one of them win by a TD. I hope the Ironton players come in to burg thinking they will win by 2 scores because the pirates are gonna smack them in the mouth!! Can't wait till the 29th!!
