If you are refering to Warren, just wanted to let you know Warren beat Portsmouth last week. I don't think Meigs can beat Portsmorth. Maybe the best of the TVC can't beat the worst teams in the SEOAL.

Meigs is well coached and has much more depth than Alex.

It is amazing to me that Meigs is still sitting at #9 in the region. The combined record of the teams they've beaten is 11-23 (not good at all). The problem is, it doesn't get any better with the remaining 3 games (combined record of 8-13). They absolutely have to win out and hope for some help (either second level points or teams above them losing) in order to make their first EVER playoff appearance. But they can't worry about other teams. They have to take care of their own business...and I don't care what Alexander, Wellston, and Belpre's records are, they'll be prepared and fired up to beat the Marauders. Wellston and Belpre are always tough battles and Alexander is up-and-coming. If Meigs isn't focused, they could quite possibly stumble in one of those last three games.

falcon i am from meigs and i certainly do not think warren( ranked in the top 10 in their region) is the worst team in the seoal. no one from meigs said that.
frozen rope you are right wellston especially has had our number in the past. our destiny is in our hands. either we will fulfill it or we won't. but it will be on us. i for 1 hope meigs is up to the challenge of moving 1 place and making school history.
meigs football go and make our school proud.

Falcon,
I stand corrected. Warren is not the worst team in the SEOAL. They have made great strides. But Meigs may not even be the second best team in the TVC. There is a reason they bolted from the SEOAL years ago.

As long as Meigs dont Peek-A-Boo towards Wellston too much they will win by a bunch.

Meigs needs to take care of business this week, and then we can all talk about the game that looks like a great matchup............................................... Meigs vs Wellston :!:

I know Meigs fans, first things first, but if I wasn't busy next week, I would love to go watch the Marauders and the Rockets get it on......................................... But I'll save the rest of my talk for next week :122249

Good luck guys :!:

Sports mom, im gonna say that the seniors go out on a sour note, with meigs running, passing, and having their way with alex. End of story

just some more "useless" numbers to throw out at you playoff chasers. if you go to joe eitel and follow it back to 2000
you can count on one finger maybe two how many teams Meigs has beaten that has/had a winning record. dont misunderstand me, i would be ecstatic to see them get in, but you cant get there beating 2-3 win teams. the marauders seem to be content with mediocrity. i hope i'm wrong ,just the face they paint to a outside guy looking in

you're right but look in the tvc the only consistantly good teams are meigs, ny, and belpre. meigs has played rivalry games against rv, athens and lately point. gallipolis dropped them and the community comes out for these games.
it is a weak schedule, but unless you are willing to travel outside the area who can you play that meigs hasn't?

I did not give you any bulletin board material. You are imagining things. Did I say Alex was better than Meigs. I only stated the facts, like you claim to. The people at Meigs know why they left the SEOAL, and it has been a good move for them. They will all tell you that.
Who else can Meigs play in the area? What about Logan? What about Jackson? What about Chillicothe? What about Marietta? You heard of those places fasteach?

The Well kid is an excellent QB. He also has some good hands to throw to. But I would not count Alexander out of this one. Tradition says Meigs, but Alexander has improved, and are well coached. I could see them maybe pulling the upset.

again as normal sparstain you are wrong what i said was meigs plays mostly nearby rivals, they do not travel. they scrimage jackson every year. they have played point, just across the river. they play athens, immediately to the north. they play rv, immediately to the south. they played oakhill, just south. their is no need to play and get thrashed by huge urban schools. does alexander play logan on a regular basis?
if you are too ignorant to read what you wrote you insulted both warren and meigs in 1 statement. maybe alex should beat at least 1 of these teams in order for you to have a leg to stand on or a mouth to run!
