While this may be a good game to watch to the average fan, I don't think the Dogs can cut the mustard against the Buckeyes. If Nelsonville stays injury free, they will continue their march to the TVC Ohio title and a playoff berth.

Athens is a much improved team from last year and Cameron Tope is fine running back.

It looked like Athens got into a battle of BIG plays in the first half with Wellston, and the Rockets made more big plays than the Bulldogs....................

They settled down in the second half and played better, but Wellston made the 2 TD halftime lead stick.

Wellston is playing some pretty darn good football right now and I think Athens got a little caught up in the "SHOCK AND AWE" of the Wellston playmakers (they have some talented athletes that make plays)

The Dogs will come loaded for bear and the Buckeyes will be waiting....... Should be fun

I go to all the NY games and i think the fans don't show enough support the crowd seems dead they need to make more noise. to fire those boys up so this week against the dogs i would love to see the crowd make some noise we play superb football but are fans dont give enough cheer and support in the crowd i would love for them to do better and not let the dogs hear there own plays being called in the huddle make them nervous with are crowd making so much noise and once again make the cannon melt

If NY stops TOPE they will be fine. This game might be closer then the last two alot closer! NY 24 ATHENS 21... Athens really wants to win this game. but ny has to play fired up in all 4Q .. GO BUCKS WIN THIS GAME AND YOU ARE TVC CHAMPS after you beat VC but this is the last big test.. I saw athens play on 15 and by the looks of that game I just cant see athens winning but i know they will be playing us harder so if ny plays like they did at belpre, fired up, athens will have a long night

The reason i think it could be close is I think athens is going to prepare really hard for this game more then any other because they know what it would mean to beat the buckeyes it would be a statement for them.. NY focus on THIS game like its the tvc championship because you win this i know you will be the champs! only if athens has their best game of the year NY will win in a close one , otherwise NY in a blowout like the last couple weeks GOODLUCK BUCKEYES KEEP THE CANNON HOT!

If Athens can throw the football effectively it will be closer than most think. If the dogs are going to try and run it down NY's throat they lose big. I think that Alex's ability to throw the ball is what kept the Buckeye D a little off balance, not being flat. Either way I don't see Athens winning this one.

By the way we do make a lot of noise.
