East is a great team with experience and talent; Notre Dame is a team with young athletes and a lot of heart. I see that a lot of you like East in this one, but don't count out that young bunch of kids from about 4 miles west of Sciotoville.
Go ND!!

I agree with Titans4ever. These young boys from ND may surprise people and one thing you can count on, that they will play with their hearts and give it all they got. What time is the Covington dinner? Sounds nice. GO ND!!!Dont worry about the people that want to put you down.

This will be a good game. East isnt playing a few starters due to injury and saving them for the payoffs. The line is missing about 3 starters so who knows what might happen. East fans will be tailgating by the tree by the wall at around 6.

Garrett from East just returned a punt 57 yards for a TD and East leads 26-0 in the 3rd quarter.

The Tartan defense was awesome tonight, shutting down the nd running game and forcing turnovers when they had to throw - the titans could not stop big plays from the East offense. Congratulations to ALL of the Tartan coaching staff, EVERY player, cheerleader, and the Sciotoville faithful! Three in a row, WAY TO GO!!!!!
Win next week and keep making school history!!!

Congratulations to East on their 3rd straight SOC. East looked good for the most part, but there are some areas that need improvement for the playoffs. Amazing move by Jordan Garrett on the 85 yard TD run when he jumped over the ND defender. There was also one heck of a hit on the punt return for a TD made by the Howard kid (I think that's who it was). Those are the types of hits a football player dreams of.
Good luck in the playoffs. I know your goal is State, but take each game one at a time and don't look ahead.

Way to go EAST! I played my pee wee football there before we bought a house in Lucasville. Great to see the tartans getting back to the winning way!!!

East came out and dominated this game from start to finish...if they play like this in the playoffs they could be a good sleeper pick.

A quick question for any titan posters: Why didn't nd go into ANY defensive huddles from the middle of the third quarter on? Just wondering...thanks!

Well... I waited to the next morning to make any comments or post on this game; in fear of any remarks that might be fueled by my over whelming passion for this game! So here we go!
East flat took it to the ND team last night! I think both teams played a fairly good game as far as, sportsmanship! I think the only personal foul call against ND was called on their coach! So, good job ND players for showing good sportsmanship on the field.
I noticed something that happened after the game that I know has not happened between East & ND in over 25 years! That was that both teams met in the middle of the field for prayer! I think in light of what has went on and has been said on this forum by both sides; it probably has this sudden interest of developing a good relationship between the teams! Whatever, reason is tagged or used for this gesture; it was definetly a good thing! And, I for one was glad to see this!
To all the ND players and faithfull fans! ND football team; you guys played hard and never gave up! You played with heart & desire! Good luck in the rest of the athletic sports; except when playing East!
Till next year! The countdown begins; 365 days till ND @ East! I can't freaken wait!

Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
NO COACHES FROM ND GOT ANY UNSPORTSMANLIKE PENALTY CALLED AGAINST US.WE THOUGHT THERE WAS SOME UNSPORTSMANLIKE PLAYS AND WE TRIED TO ADDRESS THAT.EAST PLAYED A GREAT GAME AND THEIR KIDS SHOWED UP TO PLAY AND PLAY HARD EVERY PLAY, AND THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES. I ASKED THE EAST COACHES IF THEY WANTED TO PRAY WITH US AND THEY SAID YES. WE PRAISE JESUS CHRIST IF WE WIN AND IF WE LOSE, ALL THE GLORY GOES TO HIM, I'M NOT A MILKSHAKE DRINKER AND DONT CLAIM TO BE, BUT I BELIEVE. BEST OF LUCK TO EAST IN THE PLAYOFFS , THEY DESERVE IT AND HOPE THE RIVALRY STAYS STRONG FOR YEARS TO COME. GOOD LUCK AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.
REMEMBER TO THANK A VETERAN TODAY FOR ENABLING US TO PLAY THIS GREAT GAME OF FOOTBALL IN THIS FREE COUNTRY.

Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
did'nt see it 1st hand but a covington coach said the personal foul against east near the north end zone was for an east player kicking or attempting to kick # 13 for ND in the head ---again I did'nt see it --it was the play where 3 flags flew at once -- what really happened ? Seemed to be a very well played game as far as sportsmanship goes.
Congrats to East --scrappy team --the game unfolded far differently than I thought it would, ND was actually able to have some success moving the chains via the run but the passing game , which had been pretty good, was way off. J Lewis had been money the previous weeks but they did'nt even seem to look his way. 2 plays by East were big time highlight material, the block on the punt return (# 41 is one tough kid to bounce back up after that) and the hurdle of the tackler was just phenonimial. East was jumping pass routes all night. Good scouting. MD

Re: Thread#2 East,Notre Dame week 10.
It happened directly in front of us-the personal foul called on East was for a late hit after the whistle....he wasn't the only one.....the nd unsportsmanlike call was probably on #7, as the flag was thrown after a very short punt and a ref was in close proximity. Good luck to both teams, and I hope to see the same post game gesture on the part of the Tartans at our place next year.
