D IV R15 Qtrs: Ironton (6-4) at Amanda- Clearcreek (8-2)
Re: D IV R15 Qtrs: Ironton (6-4) at Amanda- Clearcreek (8-2)
If you need or want to sit, get to the Pit early. Seating is pretty limited. I was at the LE-Amanda game last week and the seats were full at 6:40pm for a 7:30pm game. Now there is a hill in the south end zone where one can pitch a blanket or chair and watch the game (hence the Pit name). Same holds true for northwest part of the field behind the end zone. It's a nice setting with houses across the street from the south end zone.
We thought a couple of years ago this matchup might happen but it didn't work out. Nice to see it this time.

If the Tigers can keep the football from hitting the ground, this should be a good game. If fumblitis hits, could be a long ride home for the Tigers.

thank you OHSAA........(sorry I just had to say that)........![]()
Oh my OHSAA hardly ever gets a good comment from anybody in Southern Ohio since they could care less about Southern Ohio.
TTT you need to get those Portsmouth guys to pay for your dinner at the Ribber that would help make your trip even better.
You have a great plan for game day. Football is just more than a game.

i would compare it to ironton'a away seating at alder, newer bleachers , but about that seating capacity.

And u are correct, football or basketball or baseball is more than a game.......and the road trips make it even better...........and we always seem to come up with a plan that works for everyone........which includes food and beverages at your finer establishments.......

There isn't a game in the state I'd rather see Saturday than this one, I just may have to make the hour or so drive to Amanda for this one.

For those unfamiliar with the OHSAA regional playoffs, here's the format
FIRST ROUND
1 seed vs 8 seed
2 seed vs 7 seed
3 seed vs 6 seed
4 seed vs 5 seed
SECOND ROUND
1/8 winner vs 4/5 winner
2/7 winner vs 3/6 winner
THIRD ROUND
Second round winners play each other
So, the Ironton(6) vs. A-C(3) winner will play either Johnstown-Monroe(2) or Indian Valley(7) in the second round
FIRST ROUND
1 seed vs 8 seed
2 seed vs 7 seed
3 seed vs 6 seed

Look for Amanda to come out and run the ball. They have a good player and the hole team plays there heart out ever day and ever game so it should be a good game. look for amanda to win by 101darkhorse wrote:Good luck Ironton from Lucasville!!!!
