You know, after re-considering, if the kids are good with it, I really don't see why it would make much difference. After all, they're the ones that are wearing them.

You are right 78, if the kids like it, then go with it... Maybe in a couple of years the next bunch of kids may choose pink & orange, that would look nice.... Maybe every varsity team can choose there own colors and we will be know as the rainbow school....LOL.... Looking good is important.... Would you rather have a 2-8 team that looks good or a 8-2 team that maybe doesn't make a fashion statement? Maybe at the start of a game we should vote on who has the prettiest uniforms and award that team say 10 points... Maybe Nike will design a uniform that actually makes you a better football player or better coach......LOL..... I liked the comment Brutus made "The kids see what goes on in college, and they want to be a part of that." Considering The OSU, Miami, Boise, Michigan, Auburn & the list goes on, so what benefits do ya believe our players are receiving?........LOL.....LOL.....

I have nothing against black.as long as it is used for accent..But when its becomes the primary color of the team that is known as Blue and White then I do have a problem.. The fight song and alma mater states Blue and white or White and Blue. . I wud rather have a team that 8-2 and keeps the same uniform.. Take Ironton for instance, do u think they wud ever change or have any other color besides Orange/White. I don't think so. Their uniforms haven't changed in 30+ yrs. It's called tradition.....

I've been reading on another site and a lot of alumni complaining about the black on the Blue Devils uniforms. I state right now that I'm not happy about it. We are Blue/White not Black with some Blue and White. Just was wondering what others feel about this. So what's your opinion??

Eastern(Meigs) done the same, colors are Green White with Gold trim. Majority of the alumna didn't agree to the black. Boys basketball and girls volleyball has got new uni's with the gold back. I don't expect the black will ever be totally phased out.

last time i checked uniforms don't win or lose ballgames.the athletes do. so how bout u complain about that? i just find it rather childish that so called grown men are complaining about uniform colors.if your a true fan and support your school it shouldn't matter if they come out in pink uniforms or black ones or even rainbow ones. cheer for them and quit whining!!!!

Let me say to all you guys that don't like the black pants, i would keep your eyes open. i got a feeling you are going yo get your wish. My guess would be maybe next week, you might see the devils in blue on blue. maybe not but i think so. If anyone one was at the JV gave on Monday to watch them play Jackson you saw gallia wear blue on blue. now i haven't scene all blue devils old uniforms but those certainly looked like new blue plants to me that truly match the new blue shirts from last year.

i think it will be good if they have some different options for special occasions.

I don't get it either as I mentioned above. Plus, black and white are general "third" colors of every team. Wellston is Blue and Yellow but they have white jerseys (as most typical home jerseys are). White is just more generally used. Plus, I'd bet money that Gallia got the idea from Duke. Duke Blue Devils, Blue & White colors but the school uses black quite often. And Black is becoming increasingly used across all levels of sport because it looks good, quite frankly. It's not a big deal, this is all fairly petty.
