My son plays on the baseball team and they were told that he was fired as coach and resigned as AD...sad day for NY the Boston family is NY football,,,,,,anyone know what happened and who will they get to replace Davey.

Do they have to hire from within? I would be shocked if any of last years asst. coaches would be offered the job. Although I can think of them 2 that would do a good job. Good luck COACH BOSTON!

First, I support Dave Boston and was always treated well by him while around NY.

However, considering I have heard about three or four different stories from people employed by the school, I think it is best to hold off on this type of speculation unless the source it completely impeccable.

Though, I will admit, the worst of the stories was about the equivalent of another local school's assistant football coach who was fired and then rehired.

And no, they do not have to hire from within. There will be rumors galore I'm sure.

I talked to someone who explained what happened and I don't think its right to say there name on here, but its BULLSPIT!!!!!
We need to start a petition and the next school board meeting is june 9th.

We need to stand up and support our coach!!
Coach Boston is a great coach who turns those young boys into young men. He cares about his kids school and community.
If it came out that coach Boston did do something that would deserve him getting fired then thats life move on, but from what I have been told its a big fat load of spit.
Its time to rally as a community and let the powers that be know,WE WANT COACH BOSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terwilliger is a NY graduate. He has coached for 19? years at Olentangy. He is the former president of the OHSAA. He currently coordinates the North-South All-Star game. He has players at Michigan State, Ball State, Kent State, etc. Since he coaches against Dublin Scioto every season, he has recently gone against Jake Stoneburner and Mike Adams who are both at OSU and had offers from USC, Florida, etc.

However, before other coaches are discussed, this one isn't over yet.

i like boston i dont want to see him go , he has coached ny to a tvc title every year hes been their. exepte 1, not sure if another coach coming in would disrupt the team or not atleast this year. i dont want to see this year get messed up. ny is gonna have good talent agian. and i wonder if any players will quit or not play? so many ???
