BC had Liberty Union on the ropes the first game of the year. The game was restarted the next day due to lightning. LU came back and won, might have been a different story if the game had been finished on Fri night. LU made a deep run in the playoff last year, and is considered the co-favorite, with West Jefferson to win their league this year. This game will help to compare different leagues. Will be surprised if BC does not win.

6'2 220 is a bit exaggerated. I'm not saying he doesn't play like that but Kilby is 6' 190. He is just EXTREMELY strong, quick, and fast. He is a 4.5 40 guy with a 35" vertical...just a great athlete. I look for Athens to stack the box to try and stop Kilby. But the BC QB has the ability to torch teams if they do that. The kicker for BC is definately very good. You must attribute the O-Line a bit for Kilby's success as they have been MUCH improved this year. Coach Forrest is doing an excellent job with the BC program and I hope he stays around for a long time. The AD made a good hire. This would bode great things for BC towards the playoffs if they could get a win considering Athens is D2 and is going to win about 8-9 games. Athens sounds like they have made vast improvement from years past. I think this will be a fun battle to watch! I wouldn't really say the favor is in anyone's court considering the teams sound very evenly matched...it's up to who wants it more!

About previous post made by 93Bulldog ... Speaking of Athens' return game ... I said DIXON & SHARP ... The Bulldogs' return game includes last seasons ALL-LEAGUE PLAYER SHAD MCCOLLUM AND Ian Dixon ...

DeVonn Sharp returned punts and kickoffs during the Trimble scrimmage (With McCollum out), which had me thinking the duo wold be doing it all season ... But Shad is back - and is every bit as dangerous as Dixon or Sharp - He had an awesoem return for a TD at Fed Hock last week but had it called back because of a holding call.

BUT, LIKE I SAID BEFORE - IT MIGHT NOT MATTER IF THE BULLDOGS HAVE THEIR BIGGEST, SLOWEST LINEMAN BACK THEIR RETURNING KICKS - IF ALL BLOOM-CARROL DOES IS KICK IT IN THE ENDZONE EVERYTIME.

This game will be 'WON' by two things...

1.) Who Wins the battle in the trenches...
2.) Which QB takes care of the ball...

Look for a physical, smackdown and shall I say it (since it seemed every game I ever played in High School was...) Soaking Wet Field Conditions...

When the turf gets wet, speed is removed from the game and power takes its place...who brings the Power Friday...

(Game Prediction Tomorrow)

I know our line play is a big part of our strength, but i love our speed and playmakers on a dry field - McCollum, Sharp, Young, Weaver, Dixon, Harris, Glass.

Bloom Carrol invades Rutter Field to challenge the undefeated Athens Bulldogs Friday Night...

Look for this to be a smashmouth, hardnose, DOGFIGHT til the end...

I like...

(1-1) Bloom Carrol Bulldogs -- 13
(2-0) Athens Bulldogs --------- 27 Final

This game will be closer then the final score, but a late TD by the HOST Bulldogs will put it away for good late in the 4th...look for a great game Friday Night!!!

Go Bulldogs Go
'Just WIN Baby!'
