Jason Peck is slated to be the new grid boss at SG. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the program and should have them in the playoffs this fall. I think we should go ahead and clean out a place in the trophy case for that first TVC trophy.

GO JASON GO!

I loved having Peck as a coach durring my days in a SG uniform, He was always very Knowledgeable about what he was coaching in practice with the positions i played at SG witch were rb and lb. He also coached I know 2 other positions while I was there. Saying that I think for him being able to do all that he is a well rounded coach and knows the game very well to move SG more into the right direction.

Rebels on 3 wrote:Cant wait to watch him play. I've known the kid for awhile now, he has two cousins that go to SG that are big and strong themselves and that is the Matney twins. They were the same way when they were in Jr. high. They were so much bigger and stronger than all of the other kids and still are. When all three of them get on the football field together next year they will be fun to watch.

I remember back when I was in Jr. High, and played South Gallia, the Matney twins didn't look big at all in my opinion. But maybe it was because I went up against the biggest team everyday in practice, so everyone looked small.

Either way, I have watched the Matney's in all sports, and if this Jacob kid is as good as they are, than South Gallia needs to be watched out for.

It will be fun to watch but them three guys will not be able to do it on their own. They will have to have a good team to help them out. The starting QB is back after a season ending injury last year. Also all the WR's are back. Austin Phillips was a pretty good running back last year, dont know if he will run the ball this year he has grown about 3 inches, so he is like 6'4. Could be a good tight end.

Was TC Beaver considered for the South Gallia job? He has coached down there and has experince coaching at the collage level.
He would be a great fit for the rebels.

You would think if they were goin to hire Coach Peck they wouldve already done it.

Rebels on 3 --

I have wondered that myself. I saw the South Gallia job posted on the Ohio Dept. of Education Web site a while back and was interested. I was told by somebody at SG that the job was already going to Jason, so I did not apply.

Because the job was listed on the 'Net, I wonder how many applied for the job.

I think if you check the past several years Coach Burleson was not hired until the May meeting and one year the staff was not hired until June. So is everyone making a mountain out of a mole hill?

Maybe you should have went ahead an applied since the person that information came from must not have known what they were talking about.

For some reason GCLSD does take quite a bit of time to hire. I believe Pat Peck will be given his chance.
