Unlikely Opponents Your Team Has Played
Re: Unlikely Opponents Your Team Has Played
Last year Wheelersburg had a home game with Cleveland VASJ. Driving from Lake Erie to the Ohio River is about the longest road trip possible within the state.

Hamler Patrick Henry, from northwest Ohio, traveled to Jackson 4-6 years ago.

Re: Unlikely Opponents Your Team Has Played
I was on the Trimble team that played at Conotton Valley and Yellow Springs. Long trips, when we played Yellow Springs, the locker room at our place, and the field and surrounding areas were flooded. The coaches and some parents used row boats to get the equipment out of the locker room, they piled the stuff on the lot across the street and we all picked through it. Eventually we were off and ready to go. When we got there (in 1975) we had to wait for a soccer game to be completed. Needless to say coach Culver wasn't happy. Plus it was colder than a well diggers a%* in the klondike. Good memory now though, we won

Chillicothe played Sabino (Arizona) H.S. in 1996. Pretty far away for a football game.

Wellston played Cincinnati Harrison 1979 (I think) I remember after the game the Harrison coach was quoted in the news paper that Jerry Patton was the best back he had ever seen. Wellston won the game ,the score escapes me though.

Wow, I'm impressed. Miller didn't exist until 1964. I never knew our teams played Logan in football at all. I know they played them in baseball a least in 1976. Gotta love the Falcons!

If I'm remembering right Miller was starting up and played our reserves on a Saturday night. Miller was handling the Logan reserves pretty good and after The half Logan brought in Bill Fickle a {11th grader} from the varsity and put him in the backfield to get the young Cheifs a rolling but the Miller defense wouldn't allow it.
Now remember this was the fall of 1964 but the class of 1965

Those Falcons aren't afraid to play anyone have traveled to the North to play Columbus Acadamy, Grove City Christian, and Linden, traveled to the south to play South Point and Coal Grove and traveled to the east to play Woodsfield and Beallsville. They also played Danville in the 70's I believe. Not saying they win them but they will play them.
Re: Unlikely Opponents Your Team Has Played
In 2002 Warren traveled to Mount Vernon for a drubbing, and in the same year to Steubenville Central Catholic.
No idea who put those on the schedule, but in combination with Trent Grider's arrival those losses marked some of the most lopsided games in program history.

I believe that was either Delphos St John's or Dola Hardin Northern and I think they beat worthington Kilbourne. Kilbourne had a down year that year but I don't think that the D6 team won state either so it wasn't even the best D6 school they lost to lol.

Yes. I just looked it up and it was Delphos St. Johns over Worthington Kilbourne in 2006. Kilbourne finished 4-6 but played a pretty weak schedule for an OCC team and only beat one team with a winning record. St. Johns went 6-4 but failed to beat a single team with a winning record and had losses to Coldwater, Anna, Marion Local, and D5 state Champion St. Henry.
