Logan plays a jamboree game at Sheridan tonight. Varsity kickoff is set for about 7:30 PM. I might take in that game; the better half wants to see a HS game. I'm curious to see what the Logan offense will look like this year.

Wow!!! I know it's just a scrimmage, but I thought Portsmouth was supposed to be loaded this year. Has Valley improved that much or is Portsmouth not going to be as good as advertised?

I saw where Ironton was up 58-19 on Coal Grove. WOW!!!

Any word on the Burg/Jackson scrimmage?

The word I got was that Valley just looks pretty good....I remember back about a month ago in the 7 on 7 thread when Portsmouth was out at Valley that it was CLEAR that the Trojans were far more athletic.

I thought the final of the Jackson-Burg varsity was 23-19, but Jackson scored a defensive TD right near the end. Burg might have had some of their 2nd teamers in by then.

I-02, I don't know about the linemen but the Burg's entire backfield was 2's when they fumbled and Jackson scooped it up and ran it in from about 60 yards out near the end. Nice scrimmage. Jackson has a nice offensive line.

Ok, thanks BigOrangeOne. Very impressed with Burg. They should be tough this season.

Jackson looked to be quite celebratory after some big plays and then those same players made poor plays soon thereafter.

Ervin showed off some serious wheels on the long TD run.

I love watching Drew Ervin run the football. That comparison you made last year...I think we're gonna see it happen. He's the real deal.

West looked really good. Moved the ball at will in the air and on the ground. Really spreading the ball around. Basically the only way they were stopped was jby penalty and a fumble. Defense was great against the run. Piketon has a nice passing offense and they hit a few. Ratliff had 3 interceptions. 1 returned for td. West won the varsity 33 to 3 and 41 to 3 total.
