If it wasn't competitive against Portsmouth or Burg, then Ironton would blow both of them out every time they played. And that hasn't happened. So you're theory is nonsense! As a die-hard Trojan fan, I have a hard time rooting for either team, but I think I will be pulling for the Burg tonight!

I never want to see this series end...We always love watching the cheerleaders in football uniforms try to play ball with us tigers...I remember when I was playing..Portsmouth hollared and screams more than anyone we faced before every game...coach lutz would always laugh and call them a bunch of cheerleaders...as far as the burg goes..I hate the jugs..hate the cannon...but love watching the game every year...especially all the W's we have put on them...I would hope that these two games never come off the schedule..and would love to see another year of two games against Portsmouth..never too many Portsmouth games..I would hate to see Ashland come off the schedule too...Although Desales became a larger school...I still would love to see that matchup again..Wish CAPE was still around...those were some great games too...

I can see now why tl895 didn't take me up on his 50 point spread for $100. Those poor little Pirates hung right with those mighty Tigers and only lost by 5 points and had a chance for the win at the end. If that is supposed to be one of the best Ironton teams since the 89 State Championship team then I guess Wheelersburg must be awfully darn good this year as well. Ironton had 2 big plays for TD's and other than that they didn't do much offensively and the Burg moved the ball fairly easily against the Tigers with turnovers and penalties killing a few drives. I sure don't see the Tigers going undefeated this season and I'm sure the Pirates will racking up some computer points for the Tigers all season.

Their water supply must have been contaminated this summer.......Wasn't it their team who dropped Logan for a D VI team..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FIDO, IRONTON DID NOT DROP LOGAN, THEY DROPPED THE SEOAL, WHICH I WISH WE WERE STILL IN. AND THE TEAM WE PICKED UP FOR WEEK 9 IS D5. THERE WERE ONLY 3 OHIO TEAMS WITH OPEN DATES WEEK 9. AND IRONTON NEEDED A 5TH HOME GAME. ECONOMICALLY AND POINT WISE IT JUST MADE GOOD SENCE, ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN A BLANK WEEK. ESPECIALLY WHEN NEARLY YOUR WHOLE SPORTING TEAMS ARE BASICALLY FUNDED BY HOME HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAMES.

And yet the moron tl985 thinks it would be a great idea to drop your two biggest home money gates of the year. I doubt any game Ironton has all year draws more fans than the Pirates and the Trojans.

If I remember correctly you predicted Ironton by 3 scores. You must be a weather man cause you cannot predict anything. Why dont you just quit putting up posts you are a disgrace to Ironton.

He actually predicted a 56-6 Ironton win and I offered up $100 if he would give me those 50 points and of course he never responded.

One of the dullest posts I have ever seen on here, and I've seen a lot of stupidity on this site!

FIDO wrote:Think son, think! You were lucky to get a 10 game schedule this year and it's against a DVI school. I bet that'll bring lots of playoff points! Ya'll down on the river sure don't mind burning bridges and cuttin' n runnin' when things don't suit ya! It's probably a good thing things in Ironton are ran by elder statesmen and not the younger generation...At this rate, you'll be lucky to have a 5 game season.

Best of luck to you though, except against your week 1 and 10 opponents. I have a Ribber Steak riding on the games....and a couple of tall ones! When the dust settles, it's just a game...Enjoy a bit of entertainment on a Friday evening....can't beat the price!!
My friend pointed something out to me the other day regarding this cat posting as a Fighting Tiger Fan. It's apparent that it's someone trying to take someone else's name to talk like an Ironton fan, and make all of us look bad. I can promise you that none of us down here think like that. We are honored to have Wheelersburg and Portsmouth play us every year. They are two of the best rivalries in Southern Ohio, if not the entire state. So this guy needs to just be ignored by everyone, maybe even kicked off the site

There are 3 Ironton posters that have ZERO credibility in my eyes. I wouldn't give any of the three the time of day. The others are just hard core fans who love and believe in their Tigers, even if it meant jumping off a cliff, for some anyways.
Notice that the idot in question has a name of tl985. the real poster is tl895. the other one is trying to duplicate him, and made a screw up.
