Warpig wrote:schenk11, I realize it is not a career award, just listing the statistics of a great career. Most Trimble people know that Dyla won't get the award. Being from a small school hamstrings a nominee since the award is, in part, based on the number of fans who vote for you. Look at their past winners, I can't think of one that is from a school smaller than Division III

Dyla rushed for 1,200+ yards as a sophomore and got to the second round of the playoffs, not nominated

rushed for a single season school record last season and wasn't a finalist

Has 1,400+ yards this year and probably won't be listed as a finalist this season.

So I'm just trying to give a little credit to a kid for three great seasons and a great, record setting career.

Wilson or Arthur --I would give the edge to Wilson even if Jackson wins this coming Friday night. Total yards in running, recieving, punt returns,kick-off returns and ints return are just off the chart.

Agree that Myers isn't sheridans best player, troy sweeney is. That said, CJ is the best player on this list. He typically plays at max a half because they are up 40 by early second quarter most games and he still has ran for a 1000 and thrown for nearly that many on the states number two ranked squad. Freak athlete with size, speed and a cannon. If he played a full game each week his numbers would be astronomical. He typically accounts for 300 yards of offense combined each week, very impressive.

CJ Myers from Sheridan will win because th show seems to have an obsession with the MVL. I am not saying he is the best player, but GG has gotten worse this year by covering too much MVL and too little of everyone else.

They also don't do anything with the Lancaster campus. I can only speculate that the reason is that WOUB's sister station is WOUC based in the Cambridge area and I'd bet they have alot of viewers in the MVL area. Just a guess though.

Last night, for example, in addition to his 174 rushing yards and TD, he also had three INTs with another TD and a fumble recovery.

Submitting anything won't help neither will the "obsession" for the MVL as the winner is decided by fan voting. Voting can be done by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Vote for your favorite and lets see what happens. Good luck to all of the finalists, any of them would be a deserving choice.

If CJ wins it's because he deserves to win. The best team in SEO's quarterback & leader.

im sorry, and let me say that there are some GREAT football players in southeastern ohio.....this is where champions are made, and traditions. not only do they learn about football on the field, but they learn about the game of life, on every field around these parts.....southeastern ohio has a GREAT tradition of football, ive never seen it better. there are some of the best players in ohio around here. let me follow that up by saying, even though everyone has been playing their hearts out this season, im sorry to say that nobody has much of a chance against wasonga, hes just way to good and such a great athlete! he has everything you need to be a complete player, good luck to everyone though!

footballfanatic1 wrote:FT45 I AGREE. PLUS THE FACT THAT ARTHUR ALSO HAS ANOTHER BACK IN THE BACKFIELD WITH HIM THAT IS AVERERAGING ALMOST 9 YRD PER CARRY AND HAS PROBABLY 600 YRD HIMSELF.
The other back averaging nine yards per carry and six hundred yards speaks to a super O line. When Arthur and Wilson are on the field together will it show which back is the best or which O line is the best? I am sure that both of these young men are quality football players. We should not lose sight of the O lines in front of them. I think a player setting records at a school with a history of football success should count for something.

Myers is responsible for better then 300 yards per game in total offense, outstanding runner and passer. His avg after the friday night win over crooskville (12 carries for 212 yards and 3 scores) is up over 12 yards per carry. He is also avg 44 yards per punt and has a handfull of int's from his corner position where he man's up every week. His team is dominant and is ranked #2 in the state. That said, Troy Sweeney is still Sheridan's best football player but qb's and not fb/lb's get the glory haha.
