Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
I certainly think N-Y has the advantage both in where the game is played and that they are a little more rounded team but a 27+ point win is a pretty bold statement. N-Y may win and maybe by more than one score but 4 scores? I think the Bulldogs are more talented than that.

its those kind of statements that gives Friday's game a much comparison to the 2008 game A-town Big Dog; Athens was 'supposed' to get killed - but - had it not been for a Chance Fox INT in the endzone Athens may have just as well won that game.

Well 93 as they say that's why we play the games.
Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
That's why I said, "Thanks for the inspiration." I was only making a joke, but it certainly didn't come out like I had planned. This will be a great game for the fans to watch.
Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
Athens has exceptional skill players and the QB coming back helps. If Harris plays against Alex that game may have ended differently. I think NY will control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and bring home another TVC title.

Re: ATHENS BULLDOGS @ NELSONVILLE-YORK(WK 10)
Lay off on alexander, hater! You dont drink gatorade, you drink haterade! That'd be like saying alex beating nelsonville last year was a fluke. Or wellston beating jackson this year was a fluke. What if i said that nelsonville beating athens last year was a fluke? Lay off.buckeyefan2010 wrote:well my predictions on week 9 were right when NY pulled of 3 TD in the last two quarters to put them ahead with a 4+ TD win, as i predicted.......here, i predict athens to play hard, but i believe that alex winning over athens was a FLUKE (no offense alex fans, but seriously who onside kicks when theyre lined up in deep kick formation?) good strategy but very CHEAP! anyways........athens will play hard for a share of the title, but NY will pull away in the 3rd and 4th......NY by 2 or more..
Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
This will be a great game if both teams bring their "A" game. I have only seen both teams once, but if NY brings the "D" they brought to the first half of the VC game, Athens may pull too far ahead for NY to catch up. Good luck to both teams, keep the injuries down and leace it all on the field. The team that shows up for 4 quarters will win this one!

Alexander beating Nelsonville for the first time last year was a fluke, and it wont happen again for a long time. Wellston beating Jackson was also a fluke, that was Jacksons only loss, and look how bad wellston has done since then. But when Nelsonville beats Athens friday it wont be look how many years in a row they have, its called success other schools are jealous and hate Nelsonville because of how succesfull they are. They will bring home another tVC championship this week and put more paint on the wall. Go Bucks

NY defence AGAIN will be the DIFFRENCE. If THE SAME D SHOWS UP NY WILL ROLL.If not it athens might make a game of it.I still dont think the dogs can hang.

I wouldnt call the alexander game last year a fluke. I played in that game and those nelsonville linemen were WEAKKK. pushed them around like i pushed the jv kids around during practice.bucks_09 wrote:j-dizzle71 wrote:Lay off on alexander, hater! fluke 3 (flk)
n.
1. A stroke of good luck.
2. A chance occurrence; an accident.
3. Games An accidentally good or successful stroke in billiards or pool.
There's the definition, your qualification for fluke. I don't remember winning by chance or luck. The stroke of good luck was that the score wasn't even worse for nelsonville. I remember alexander holding nelsonville's derek arnold to under 50 yards and not letting up one point, dominating nelsonville, blocking a punt, kicking butt in the mud, and winning the game 21 to 0.

Why the heck are people still bickering about N-Y and Alexander? Alexander won fair and square last season (terrible field granted but both teams played on it)as did N-Y this season, both games are in the past so let it go.

Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
All of you bickering about last years loss to Alex is a joke... I live in Logan, I don't miss very many NY games, I am a Buckeye thru and thru and I WAS AT THE GAME LAST YEAR, as I recall, there were two teams on the field, Alex and NY, Alex had more points at the end of the game, therefore, Alex was the better team, THAT NIGHT! Now, get off it and lets start worrying about the Bulldogs, it looks as if everyone is expecting Athens to lay down and let NY run over them... What a joke most of you are, I've watched Athens in Peden Stadium beat up on a very good Parkerburg South team, if that team shows up, NY will have their hands full. Yes, I believe that NY will win in the end, but it could be a nail biter. I think we have the offensive and defensive lines to wear down Athens and they will start making mistakes and get out of their game plan, but I don't think NY will win by 27, that's absurd... 14 is a safe number if NY brings the heat early and often.
